Postecdysis Hunger is the debut LP from Diaphonized Animals: the stench is unbearable. Featuring additional remixes by Seraphim and Tryce.

A mass of flesh decomposes under the sun. Bright rays cast through the few clouds left along the sky, illuminating layers of lacerated fat upon the rocks. Broken ribs, bloated meat, and a slurry of corporeal mixta propagates a fetid biome: a dank kingdom of holy rot. Seagulls lurk, tearing cartilage and tissue from the gutted excreta. Spoiled blood and other fluids leak among the intertidal reef. Crabs and other invertebrates feast along the teeming bounty of decay, savouring the putrid delectation of this extreme ambience. The corpsed animal has no head: a frayed hole discharges a cursed black slime forever.

NEODORSAL is MYEN's debut album. ‘NEODORSAL’ is a fictional-phonetic term inspired by velodorsal consonant pronunciation, which is considered a disordered speech phenomenon. The title is MYEN's take on finding a word to describe their painted vocal signature sounds explored in this album. They explored graphic synthesis to create a personal artificial larynx that functions as their post-organic, artificial vocal-instrument. The end result isn't able to form lyrics or words, but rather enables and highlights the instrument-like quality of the digital voice itself, while sounding organic - as if it was shaped by a human organ.

MYEN's relationship with the human tracts such as the vocal tract or the intestinal tract then became even more profound, when they were forced to deal with their body's response to loss and grief. NEODORSAL functions as MYEN's personal healing system using the vocal sound as a purging, outward-directed and ritualistic release tool. Like a festering process, the vocals bleed and are being released in order to then rest and protect the wound while it heals.

NEODORSAL is available as a digital release, and also as a limited edition physical release: a USB containing the album and additional artwork, and a 3D-printed wearable nosepiece.

NEODORSAL is the 5th release on the Most Dismal Swamp label.

FEIGNED HEARING is the first release in a three-part series of electroacoustic compositions, drawn from live recordings, foley sound and synthesis. The pieces oscillate between the halcyon and the turbulent; a soundtrack to the collective delirium engendered by the past decade through generic stasis and virulent hyper-everything.

FEIGNED HEARING is part of the wider project WHAT LUXURY IT WOULD BE TO DESCRIBE THIS RACE AS CEDED (2019-2020) which also includes video and text works.

exostrata is the new release from Brazilian producer I.C.G. It is a dense topology of abstract textures, organic tones, field recording detritus, decomposed samples, and manipulated soundbites. exostrata plunges through cumulative layers of diverse material; through petrified matter and sonic ruin to emerge with creeping cuts of darkside jungle and percussive meditations on the vibrant materialism of rejectamenta. The sound of exostrata is that of a heavy ambience; a sonic xenoarcheology churning up thick tangles of breakbeats and digital fossil musique concrète.

The tracks and the accompanying videos conjure humid and swamp-like alien environments: the speculative landscapes and post-natural biomes that constitute a swelling trash continuum which now supersedes our lumpen biomass. While arts and music discourses abound with ambitions of ‘world-building’, exostrata acknowledges and explores the extant and incommensurable nonhuman lifeworlds emerging from organic putrefaction and digital decay. exostrata embodies the dark vitality that haunts entropy; the architecture of decay. By manipulating and processing soundbites until they saturate their own materiality I.C.G. imposes an interruption upon symbolic order - audio samples are extricated from any pretension of ‘original' context to be re-rendered among an uncanny landscape of decomposition.
