MTK016 welcomes back Kosmas to Motek Music. Following his big success alongside Hands Free with their remix for Motek of Superlounge ft. Forrest “All On Me”, Kosmas has delivered his own 3 track EP which also includes remixes from Stevie R & Ian Mckenzie and Toil & Trouble. “Buch08”, “Mira” and “Unidentified Sound Objects” all provide bass driven crisp dance floor grooves, steeped in warm luscious pads and top line features. The latter two more Tech based in style with the drive of the tracks coming from interplay of bass and percussion, whilst Buch08 takes the more atmospheric approach. Stevie R & Ian Mckenzie have joined forces again to put their take to Buch08, taking the track to a higher energy level, pushing the bass harder and making a strong focal point from the lead synth line. Toil & Trouble have added their touch to Unidentified Sound Objects taking it to the peak time slots with strong punchy beats and bass syncopation.

Partial Press Release: The 41st release on microCastle welcomes Khen to the label for his debut EP. The young Israeli artist has been touted as one of his country's foremost electronic music talents. Undoubtedly a future global star, the long-time favourite of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Guy Mantzur has risen to his greatest heights in 2015, with a recent release on Lost & Found Records, preceded by similarly excellent material for Sudbeat Music and Parquet Recordings. Now closing the year out on a high note, Khen makes his long awaited debut on microCastle with the 'Pollen Spreader' EP, alongside a remix from the always excellent Luca Bacchetti.

The EPs third selection and also its title cut 'Pollen Spreader' finds Khen exploring the more subversive, electronica realm of his studio repertoire. The classically styled analog production flows through a myriad of indistinct motifs and subtle musical themes, eventually converging for several poignant moments. For Khen it was a track constructed to begin a long set with, as he describes "The first thing that went through my mind with 'Pollen Spreader' was that it was set out to be a track to start a long main set with. I focused on 808 samples for a steady groove combined with Hammond chords, Rhodes and analogue synthesizers resulting in a timeless feel."

The lone interpretation of 'Pollen Spreader' is provided by Luca Bacchetti who is making his first appearance on microCastle. The Italian artist and Endless label boss now calls Barcelona, Spain home. His diverse musical tastes have shaped his storied career, and filled his discography with immaculate creations on All Day I Dream, Crosstown Rebels, Ovum Recordings and his own Endless imprint. Luca carries inspiration from art, architecture and his world travels, all of which contribute to his ever evolving, border-less approach to production. His elegant craftsmanship has been touching the hearts and minds of electronic music lovers for years and he's turned in a splendid rendition of 'Pollen Spreader' here. While retaining the tough, analog appeal of the original Luca has created his own unforgettable designs, which come to life following a stylized first act of jangly hooks. After stripping down, the piece flows through a tension filled section of dynamic beats and new found vocal elements, before the poignant theme is unleashed for a heavenly finale. As Luca says " When I do a remix I need to get inspired and I need to find the right elements to develop my own vision, it’s a state of mind, a place which I can’t explain beyond a certain point otherwise I empty it of its content and meaning… With these 9 minutes, I hope to bring you there! " A perfect ending to the release from Luca which is sure to be one of his most sought after remixes this year. Enjoy!

After having worked on many large commercial projects throughout 2015 with Sony Music and Universal Records, being nominated for several Juno Awards, winning the SOCAN Awards 2015 Dance Record of the Year, nominated for Sirius XM Radio Music Awards Dance Act of the Year, going Number 1 on the Billboards in 5 countries, and having a double platinum record of my own song ‘Goodbye’ feat. Islove, it was important for me to musically reach back to my underground house roots.  Getting lost in a sea of A&R’s and indecision-makers, and going through an entirely new process of commercial record writing - with session musicians, vocalists, lyricists etc. - it was the opposite world of writing that I made my records (and success) from many years ago.  I needed to take a break and get back to writing these instrumental pieces where the riffs ARE the vocal lines, and the vibe was a sort of hypnotic mysticism mixed with late night mind bending chasers. ‘Into The Deep’ is a celebration of forward thinking progressive house music - a dash of eccentric and brash synth melodies juxtaposed with bright uppity grand piano chords and warped out arpeggiations.  This is a cohesive body of music here and I wrote this all from around August of 2015 until October (around 3 months).  The first single EP from this album is called ‘Into The Deep’ and it has a very rich sound to it especially in the baseline.  I used a custom series 80 Neve console to get that wide character and the whole piece just really glued together with my mixing approach on this one.  I love the synths in the midsection and the texture to those sounds.  Perfect for late night dark room mash out venues.  On the B Side is ‘Bumblebee’ and that one is a Space Ibiza terrace early night kind of vibe - big room sound, tight percussion and groove, and huge analog synth swells. I am very happy to present a brand new release from Paul Ursin on Noir Music, continuing his well-respected ’Sinthesis’ series.
Paul and I must have worked for 6 months trying to A&R and perfect this 2-track release from him.
We both changed our taste in music since his last EP on the label, and fortunately for us, in the same direction. But it still took a while to complete and perfect a release we were both 100% happy with.
Sinthesis Vol. 4 is the two originals “Turbo” and “Blackout” which still carry Paul’s trademark sound, but now wrapped in Techno clothing rather than his former Tech house outfit.
Both productions are what I would clasify as classic Techno bangers with a modern production twist.
It's great to have Paul back on Noir Music and there’s more to come from this talented Sicilian.

It's a noteworthy thing to be picked up and noticed by Last Night On Earth honcho Sasha, and that's exactly what Tibi Dabo (real name Max Guardans) has managed to do at just 21 years of age. Ready to live up to expectations, Tibi Dabo has arrived with a new EP called 'Ende' that's set for an October 27 release on LNOE. 

'Perpetua Mobilia' gives itself away in the title, a racing track that never ceases in its electric energy from opening 'til close. ​"‘Perpetua Mobilia’ means constant movement," Tibi Dabo explains. "The record itself is my attempt at recreating the ‘trance-like state’ one can experience whilst listening to loud and physical music for several hours."
