About one year after our Vol. 2, clubs and dancing bars were closed again in France. This sad news made us decide to launch again our Edits series, slightly renaming it “Paradise edits”. Fortunately, the good contacts we made through the last year helped us pulling together this new compilation quite fast. First, we had the Brooklyn duo Fundido, part of Earth Beat crew, with whom we had been chatting for quite a while and talked many times about having an edit from then. Then, we asked Sputnik, a DJ from Moscow to join, as we were enchanted by his work for That’s A Steal and his release on Gop Tun records earlier this year. A few days later, Nicolas Kotowicz, another Russian artist, contacted us to share his edit and we thought he would be a perfect addition to the comp. Finally, Latane introduced us to Lloyd with a bunch of edits and we were very keen to include him too.
Here’s the result of their works and a few questions we asked them about their stories and their approach to edits.

Our first contemporary release on Avec Plaisir features a stunning collaboration of Munich-based Ly Nguyen and @supersoundglobal's @nicjalusi. We discovered "Laguna Azur" already years ago through our friend Pia and kept playing it in our sets since then, which caused almost ridiculous amounts of ID-requests from audiences all over Europe. So when Ly and Nic agreed on working together on a physical release, we knew this is gonna be something special. 

While the Original Laguna Azur Mix takes you on a motorcycle trip to  a beach bar sipping cocktails in the early 90s (with denim jackets, cocktail umbrellas and the full program), Jalusi's Acid Dub is already starting the party, when the dubby bass hits like we wanna dance into the sunset, watching smiles on everyones faces, rumpled hair from the early evening breeze. 2AM – was it Hazme Sonar or Sueno Latino or the Balearic Eric & Nic Jalusi Dream House Mix – You’re in a sea of hands up in the air when those piano chords kick in after the break. You just want to dive into the ocean for another night swim and shake your drenched body on the sandy dancefloor. A handful of friends remain at the beach in the very moment when the sun comes up and you’ll hear the hypnotizing leftfield dub "My Heart“, lying on the shore, everyone’s eyes turn into the greenish-blue color of a mystical lagoon hidden in the palm forest. A salty taste remaining on your skin.

Bud Dub is a warm, vapor-soft chill-dub album built entirely on palindromes — in the titles, in the musical structures, and in the production design. Every track mirrors itself in some way: basslines that move outward then return inward, stereo patterns that flip left and right, chords that rise and fall in symmetrical arcs, and mid-track “hinge moments” where motifs reverse or fold back on themselves.
The result is a deeply relaxed, slow-burn dub experience that feels like drifting smoke loops in a quiet living room — warm sub-bass, soft skank guitars, spaced-out rimshots, vapor-lit pads, and analog haze. It’s immersive, hypnotic, and mathematically chilled, built for late-night unwind sessions and introspective creativity. The entire album loops seamlessly from the last track back to the first, completing the macro-palindrome.

Thandi Mbongwe - The Beat Is Alright

Zone ‎– Space Love (MC's Kosmisch Love Edit)

Not a lot of known info on this release- Samba Coulibaly is the singer and this is the only known recording he sings on.  He's credited on three records, one of which he's credited as "coordinator" for NST Cophies "Fayalargeau" (good one Zouk LP- look it up).  The arranger on this track played drums on many french pop records in the 80s (Claude Salmieri) and it was released in France and Spain.  Nothing else was ever released with this project.  The Dub is incredibly scattered and while it's a fun listen it sometimes feels a little too out there.  I wanted to make a "mega-mix" of the different versions and this is what I came up with.  Some re-drum programming and some atmospherics were added to modernize it just a touch.  This was in my sets for the past year, my friend Aroop did a mix of this recently that may be more big club friendly as well.  I think both versions are appropriate for different scenarios, enjoy
