Don't Stop is the brand new tune from Denis Ago on Berlin's most cherished party label, Mother Recordings. In a short time this artist has become part of the underground scene thanks to his fine grasp of house, tech and minimal on labels like Habitat and Toolroom. Now he shows why.
Don't Stop is the sort of full flavour house cut to get any club going. The fat synth bass props up the squelchy beats, while rising chords bring the colour. What really finishes it off in style though is the vocal - the steamy, soulful female coos up top that will get hands in the air and smiles on faces.
This is another classy tune from all.

Nottingham-based producer Lee Eden, AKA Animist, brings a dope re-rub of a Blue Boy classic from ’95 for Phil Weeks' Robsoul Recordings.
Plucky jazz bass and finger-clicking swing meet crisp and punchy percussion on Sandman, as Animist utilises The Undisputed Truth vocal to perfection to create a smooth key-laden, horn-fuelled funker. Dancefloor perfection. 
Too Much rolls with a techier bump as two-step aesthetics, deep bassline and razor-sharp hi-hats drop us into a teasing break,  only to explode like a glitter bomb with some French Touch flair. 
Animist joins forces with Chubz & Nukem to close the release with ‘You Found Me.’ A polished and positive slice of modern house.

Fire burns even in cosmic space, and La Zic's 6th digital instalment is a testament to this. West Coast vibes all the way from LA with upcoming DJ/producer Justin Vilhauer (Deeperfect, Cyclic), who joins the label entourage with the titled 'Twin Flame' EP. This one sees the LA-based talent teaming up with fellow Californian artist Will Collins for the lead track, a rampant, gritty tune that fuses techy rhythmic patterns with that late-nate energy while keeping things deep and melodic for his two solo works 'Trust On The Line' and 'Good Love' filled with spacey synths, and silk-bodied vocals. On the remix duties, Argentinian newcomer Obeid (Tamango Records) jumps on board, adding new fuel to 'Twin Flame' - making the track a pure club rocker with twisted vocals and nasty riddims.

When Oliver had completed his debut album ‘Another Day Another Dollar’ back in 2018, we were about to release it on Industry Standard, before the mighty Classic Music Company swooped in to sign it, and released it in spring 2019. During this time Oliver had commissioned a series of remixes from his homies, and now with Classic Music’s blessing we are able to release these remixes here on Industry Standard.

This is the second of 3 remix EP’s in the ‘Another Day Another Dollar Reconstructed’ series. Vol.1 saw Todd Edwards, Demarkus Lewis & Sinistarr, take the reigns. Now we have Christian Nielsen, JR From Dallas & Peter Croce stepping up to show us their takes on these tracks.

We set things off with our Play It Down label mate Christian Nielsen’s remix of the album opener ‘Sampling’ from Oli & Gene Farris. Christian takes a direct dancefloor approach jacking up what was originally a slo-mo spoken word mood setter. This is a charged up filtered house banger that has a nod to a DJ Sneak & Armand sound from back in the day. A solid approach for the material being remixed.

Next up we have JR from Dallas, who takes on remix duties of Oliver’s ‘Outer Drive’. The original album track was a more sedate 103bpm jazzy down tempo jam, but JR has come with his own vibe on a deep Chicago House tip. He’s beefed up the beats and has up tripping on his groove throughout his remix.  It’s one for late night heads.

Finally, we have Detroit’s Peter Croce delivering a signature low slung remix of the blue’s house track ‘The Delta’ from Oli’s collaborators Matthew K, and Daddy Hemingway. This remix takes a lovely groove driven approach that grows over the course of the track using Daddy’s vocals under a build of Peter’s own additional keys. Another wonderful remix in this evolving body of reconstructions.  Keep your ears pricked for Vol.3 coming in October.
