It was in early summer 2014 when we released the first Nerdjack single and finally we have the possibility to continue our common journey. This time with the help of singer Robert Owens and remixer Detlef, who's release on Moon Harbour and ViVA have been big in Martin Eyerer and Rainer Weichhold's dj sets. This is smahing peaktime techno at its best, perfect to rock any open air stage.

I Came 2 Jack

Nerdjack Ft. Robert Owens - I Came 2 Jack (Detlef Remix)

Released in 1997, this collaboration between Snitzer & Mc Coy and Humate captures the intensity of European techno at the time. The Heavy Mix rhythm presses forward with a force. Synth lines swell in arcs that hover above the drums.

The combination of producers brought together different strengths. The drive and weight of Snitzer & Mc Coy with the melodic sensibility Humate had honed across records like Love Stimulation. The result is a piece that can fill a floor while keeping an edge of mystery intact.
A defining release for Superstition and a track that has carried its power into new generations of listeners, it holds its place as part of our Classic of the week selection.

Oh My Darling, I Love You (Heavy Mix)

A standout cut from the Ballroom Records catalogue, Telurio by Joe Fisher is now featured in TEN: The Archive Series, Pt. 5 — a chapter celebrating the more melodic and house-driven side of our sound.

Defined by warm grooves and emotive atmospheres, the track highlights the refined, melo side of Ballroom’s Melodic House & Techno identity.

Hot on the heels of their last outing on the label back in October, MAT.JOE are back on their regular MOTHER RECORDINGS label. This time the acclaimed Berlin duo serve up two more sizzling house cuts that are guaranteed to make a big impact. 
Germans MAT.JOE have been taste making producers and DJs for a while now. They release on fine labels like Hot Creations, Toolroom and Gruuv but save their best for Mother, as is the case again here. 

The first cut is JUNGLE FEVER, a slick and atmospheric affair with silvery and slithering percussive loops, deep and rubbery drums and the sort of emotive female vocals that really send crowds wild. Clever effects and lovely, glossy melodies and vocal chants add a summery, humid feel and all in all it makes for a sure fire winner. 
The flip is MUSIC ON, a more boisterous jam with pinging toms and kicks bounding about with tons of energy below. Another expert vocal sample really adds flame to the fire and lots of subtle FX and filter tweaks really make this one jump out of the speakers. House music never sounded so fresh!
All in all, this EP finds both MOTHER RECORDINGS and MAT.JOE in fine form once again.

Doorly & Hauswerks deliver 'Wrong Turn Episode 2'  on October 10th, the long-awaited follow-up to their killer two track Hot Creations EP, which destroyed dance-floors across the globe two years ago. What’s Up Desert Hearts Family,

We’re doing something a bit different for this next EP… so please read below.

First the music: we've got a massive release for you guys here with Parisian producer Clyde P's debut EP on the label! We were first introduced to Clyde via longtime friend of the label, wAFF, so right away we knew Clyde was on the same vibe as us. Shortly after we met, I found this beast of an EP in my inbox and I knew I wanted all three tracks immediately. Appropriately titled after the fat boy wrestler from Street Fighter named Zangief, this entire EP is meant for dance floor destruction. 

Here’s what’s different…

As you know, spreading our movement of love and positive energy as far and wide as possible will forever be at the core of our ethos - from the festival, to the parties, and of course from the label. With that in mind, we want to try a little experiment with this release. In order to grow our global audience of house and techno lovers like you, we need to utilize all the resources available to us. Right now the single biggest resource for growing a record label’s influence is constantly having music in the charts on Beatport. In the beginning, this wasn’t a major concern to us, as we’ve always done things differently at Desert Hearts, but we’ve learned that this matters to the majority of artists out there who want to get the most out of their productions. 

We want to bring the best and brightest onto the label and that means providing artists with as many resources as possible to grow their own audience. So for this EP, we are asking our family to do us a massive favor and support Clyde P’s release on Beatport, which will help us reach new people around the world via their global platform. 

And if you really can’t afford to purchase the music, we got you! This is not the end of our completely free record label! ALL of our music will be available for free on SoundCloud and Spotify, and you can still download the music for free 10 days after it hits Bearport…  just like before. <3
