Relative newcomer Recut Music wasted no time generating serious measures of heat with their three previous Disco-fuelled releases. On the controls once again is the talented old school DJ producer who returns on his own Vinyl only imprint with 4 House, Disco & Acid-tinged tracks inspired by the early sounds of Chicago. For the first cut in this project Recut dusts off his shelves and diggs deep into his collection to Re-Edit forgotten warehouse banger 'It's All In Your Mind', he effortlessly refreshes and transports this gem into 2022. Next up 'House Intensity' does exactly what it says on the tin with its warm and percussive bassline & hypnotic arpeggios which will take you to a cosmic dimension. 'Disco Chicago' is the track that gives the project its name, it has an ensemble of drum sounds from the 808 and 303 to create this authentic Acid House gem that will fill any dancefloor. Having released the hugely in demand Experiential Learning EPs on Heko Records over the past two years, Giammarco Orsini comes to Partisan with another haul of tracks that will get itchy-fingered DJs clamouring for a piece of the action. Italian producer Orsini takes a delicate, classic approach to crafting his tracks, focusing on creating an infectious, soulful message with the simplest of ingredients, and this shines through on the Game Of Chance EP.  From the funky bleep techno tones of “Planet Pan” to the dubby immersion of “Divenire”, with the snappy shuffle of “Any Robots Here” to the blissed-out pads and snaking beat of “Point Of View”.  This is refined and reduced dance music that radiates warmth and champions groove, subtly preaching positivity in the most elegant of ways, and makes for such potent material on the dancefloor.
