The dynamic NZ brother duo, known from Mule Musiq, Rhythm Section and their own In Dust We Trust, joins Volcov’s NEROLI imprint for a superb collaborative EP of highly emotional music!

‘Emotional Intelligence’ fills the A side seeing them team up saxophonist and fellow kiwi jazz legend Nathan Haines and South London’s own Dave Koor aka. Modified Man. On the flipside they join forces with Chicago’s Lee Pearson Jnr (known for his writing for Larry Heard), K. LaDawn on vocals and rising star Joe Armon-Jones on keys. Master of deepness Trinidadian Deep is back on Neroli for his seventh [!!!] output on the label. 

This time the sound is slightly different as the focus is on the boogie and funk side of things. All his trademark melodies and harmonies are there but mixed with a new edge. Mannheim’s First Touch joins boogie aficionado Patrick Gibin’s Mother Tongue imprint for a straight nasty selection of no-nonsense modern funk - backed by a killer beatdown boogie remix from the legendary DJ Spinna ft. Reggie B. 
First Touch have over the past decade dedicated themselves to true, analog boogie and have been hailed as the Kings of modern Euro Funk with sought after releases on Star Creature and Omega Supreme.

Neroli reaches release number 50 during its 20th anniversary and celebrates with a special project, an album of songs by some of the label artists and friends. The title reference goes back to 20 years ago when label’s honcho Volcov decided to give the label the name of Brian Eno’s Neroli album, an hour long ambient opus inspired by the oil derived by the flowers of the Seville orange. So after 20 years and 50 releases the label goes full circle and offers an album of delicate and heartwarming melodies and atmospheric songs. The talent of original UK dons Kirk Degiorgio, Dego and Ian o’Brien is enrolled once again to guarantee sophistication and depth. Patrice Scott and Fred P, who had recently released eps on Neroli, are joined here by fellow spacecadet Aybee…all delivering warm futuristic pieces! K15 and Linkwood debut on the label, opening and closing the album with class. And there is even a lost composition by Volcov himself with Detroit’s Gerald Mitchell and Pirahnahead as part of some 2010 sessions that might resurface soon…THE FIRST CIRCLE is complete!

Never a dull moment on Neroli: after a string of releases from the likes of Fred P, DEGO, Patrice Scott, Chaos in the CBD and Trinidadian Deep it’s now the turn of PATRICK GIBIN together with KAIDI TATHAM.
The duo has been already responsible for some heat on Patrick’s own Blend It label, and here they are teaming up once again for a whole EP. This time they enroll New Jersey majesty JOSH MILAN [of Blaze/Element of Life fame] on vocal duty [with extra the help of Dawn Tallman on backing vocals] and they turn the song ‘Love To The World’ into a modern day Classic…..Anthem Alert!
But there’s more evidence of brilliance from Gibin and Tatham with the boogie ‘Groove on’ and JazzFunk House joint ‘Don’t Be Rude’ where mr keyboard Kaidi lets loose on Bass and Guitar!

Kieron Ifill aka K15 has been releasing neck breaking music for quite a while now, wether on his own Esencia imprint or on established stables like Wild Oats, Eglo, Apron, Black Focus, WotNot and more recently Neroli.
With the monikers K15 and Culross Close he has been honing his craft for years delivering a unique mixture of eclectic dancefloor grooves always infused with jazz elements, which clearly show his huge level of musical awareness.
“Volume 1” is the first collaboration between Esencia and Mother Tongue, and proves once again Kieron’s extreme sensibility and visionary approach with the songs ‘Elemental’ and ‘Intrinsic Value’.

Debut EP on Neroli for the talented DEENAMIC. After his previous ep on Freebeat and and the appeareance on the limited Neroli XXX seven inch, expectations are very high on the output of the young spanish producer. Here he doesn’t disappoint with the ultimate banger ‘Out Of My Mind’, the syncopated ‘Sambù’ and the distorted affair ‘The Bitter Truth’ but also showing more sides of his sound like in the downtempo groover ‘Dayride’.

On the flipside Ron Trent [no presentation needed] takes all the ingredients and delivers a fierce boogie remix that has the word Classic written all over it!
