Animix Forty One presented by Austin, Texas based DJ/ Producer Gi Gi ( @keptmale ) with a beautiful trip. The artist focuses on deep and contemplative listening in this xtra long mix.  

In their own words, Gi Gi writes, "the idea for these mixes is to be a collection of longer-form tracks (7+ min) that demand (imo) to be heard front to back, producing a patient wander of a listen, and to serve as a greatest hits of sorts of songs that are especially personal/special to me-- as opposed to just an attempt to show off the deepest digs i've stumbled on (a thought pattern i think i and many other selectors can get caught up in at times..)."

Love the idea behind this mix, and it's the perfect extended listen for a sunny or rainy day wherever you are.

Next up on the Theory Therapy series is DJ-producer Ben Bondy who has put together an extremely chilled mix of indie favourites and “late night stoner vibes.”

It's pretty exciting to have Ben contribute to the series. The NY producer is in the upper echelons of the electronic music scene in the US. He's released albums on some of the best labels around—West Mineral Ltd, Experiences Ltd and Lillerne Tapes to name a few—and he's collaborated with the likes of Pontiac Streator, Ulla and more eaze.

Importantly though, he's also just a huge music fan with a keen interest in various scenes, including Australia's (you may remember he cropped up on Best Effort’s Stay in Bed comp last year) epitomised by the many sounds and styles his releases deftly encompass and in the sets he puts together.

All of Ben's mixes are amazing—his epic three-hour HNYPOT one is a particular highlight—but this recording feels like an especially personal one. It was pieced together in Maine while “missing home” and contains several tracks from his formative years. It's an absolute gem of a mix, nostalgic but never too melancholic—perfect for drifting off to late at night.

Volume 82 is a tribute to the great Simon Fisher Turner, put together by Leonid Treskunov who is based out of New York. S.F.T has been involved in an unusually wide range of music projects over his career (not to mention his success as an actor).  His work in music has ranged from composing soundtracks for films, playing in bands (most notably “Deux Files”), as well as recording and releasing material (to this day) under his own name and various aliases. Leonid has found a thread with this mix that highlights a particularly tender side of Turner’s catalogue. Much love to Leonid for putting some serious love into this one!

Discovering last year’s Hysterical Love Project’s self-released debut album “Endless Bliss Weekender” was a personal highlight. Resulting in a release on Knekelhuis as Ike Zwanikken at the ‘and felt like...’ compilation. Hysterical Love Project is the project from the love couple Brooklyn & Ike. In which they craftfully compose a refreshing modern take on the slow sensual realm of Triphop, Ambient and hazy shoegaze. 

They will release their first physical album soon on the amazing label Motion Ward. And there is an unreleased upcoming track in here. Bliss.

@mutate3k is a mysterious and exciting artist, originally from Riga, Latvia, but now based in London.

Artur has been curating a monthly show on Radio Sygma for the last year
(radio.syg.ma/shows/inexact), and for the most part spends his free time recording music... I'm a huge fan of his new album, "Let Me Put Myself Together" (released Jan28 on experiences ltd. (@xpltd). The album is equal parts psychedelic & beautiful.. a mesh of foggy euphoria and darker tones. This mix follows the same themes, with some musical moments of clarity and hope sprinkled throughout.  I'm excited to see what's to come from this talented one!
