Nightmares On Wax Boiler Room London DJ Set

I wanted to tell the story of these two rap moguls from the past. Both were allegedly involved in each others' murders, and both coincidentally rapped about California shortly before they died. An East Coast versus West Coast feud erupted after these events. This track was made to honor both of these geniuses.

I fused together Notorious BIG - Goin' Back to Cali with 2Pac - California Love (and used some elements of some other Biggie tracks to get him to say/spell different things), along with my own music to tie it all together. Hope you dig it!!

Track #2 “The Xavante”:  The Xavante, an Indigenous Brazilian tribe resisting soy expansion onto their territories and a Rainforest Action Network Protect-an-Acre grant recipient, have recently shared their traditional music with Critical Beats and Govinda in an attempt to raise funds for Amazon protection.  The result: a historical, cross-cultural collaboration that combines the ancient ceremonial sounds of the Xavante with the modern electronic virtuosity of Govinda.  This music is truly one of a kind, intended to connect listeners to the hearts and prayers of the Xavante and inspire them to join in the struggle to support Indigenous rights and their territories.

It's no secret we're living in the age of blisteringly loud, predictable EDM drops, cliché trends and false prophets.  Un-original, plastic dance music is gobbled up by the masses and highly conceptualized, modern albums are becoming extinct in the electronic music scene. Music should be about more than just a huge drop, it should tell a story, and take you on a journey.  Lucky for us, there are some artists out there that are doing just that, and we couldn't be happier.  Captain Panic! and Systek have come together to compose "The Monolith", a 12 track epic score that goes well beyond the EDM boundaries, deep into the realms of Sci-Fi soundtrack! I have been wanting to release a mix like this for a while now. "Boosh Juice" is full of trax from my favorite local and "over sea" producers. While many of my recent mixes have been based on a theme or dark and psychedelic, this one is pact full of downright greasy bass party bangers........and of course....... still containing the organic musical element that I love!!!

I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed mixing it.

Sasha's label, Last Night On Earth continues to maintain it's forward thinking approach to releasing a diverse range of quality electronic music.

Finally seeing the light of day is Sasha's take on Hot Chip’s “Flutes".  Having been a firm favourite and closing track of many of his recent sets, he twists it in to his classic melodic vibe that only he does so well, taking the original into a new dimension for the clubs and festivals.

Beautiful synth work builds and breaks throughout the track, with tight drum programming keeping the track flowing and taking you on a melodic journey, as only Sasha can do.
