The story behind this remix is wild!

We had lunch at a spot on 8th & Ocean (S. Beach Miami) and randomly sat next to Kool & The Gang! They were in town for a show during Miami Music Week and we had just finished a demo drop at Mango's with Bijou & Hugel that morning.

We all got to talking about music and brought up remixing their "Get Down On It" track into a NuDisco remix, so here it is!

So I very nearly didn’t have a free download for you this month - I was working on something but it didn’t work out and I had to abandon it. Then a family holiday took me out of action for a bit and left me with just a few days to rustle something up. I managed to pull it out of the bag by smashing two random tracks together, and I think it’s actually not half bad. It’s a Lady Gaga track called Dead Dance (which I suppose could be tenuously spun as halloween-related?) mashed up with the vocal from Madison Avenue’s 1999 funky house smash Don’t Call Me Baby. Who remembers Electric Six's tune Danger, High Voltage from a few years back? It popped into my head for no reason, and I decided to make an edit! I've clubbed it up a good few notches with some thumping kicks, acid - because a 303 always improves things, and I had a right laugh cranking up the sidechain on the guitar parts to quite frankly ridiculous EDM levels.
