Ma fille quand elle avait 20 ans a passé 2 mois en hôpital psychiatrique . Les paroles de la chanson sont le reflet de ce dont elle se souvient et notre ressenti quand on allait la voir . Philippe a su retranscrire en musique toutes les étapes psychologiques par lesquelles elle et nous , ses parents sommes passés. Merci à Thibault pour les passages en anglais qui apportent une intensité incroyable au titre .  
My 20-year-old daughter spent 2 months in a psychiatric hospital. The song's lyrics reflect what she remembers and how we felt when we went to see her. Philippe was able to transcribe into music all the psychological stages she and we, her parents, went through. Thanks to Thibault for the English passages, which bring an incredible intensity to the track.

A song about how I came to learn to play the guitar and start to write songs. I am very sorry for the poor sound. But at the moment I can only record with my phone. That's why I have to play the song in one go. The drums are just the built-in drum accompaniment of my amplifier, which I switched on in this song after the first chords. I will buy an audio interface and try to find a DAW (free or not too expensive) - if you know a free one, you can send me a PM.
One day I will manage to get a better sound, I am sure! But for the first songs, only all live-played with the drums from my amp recorded via phone, since I cannot do more at the moment. Perhaps some like it nevertheless? I am a bit excited about pulishing my first track here...

This was written over 10 years ago as a George Formby style (Google the name if you’ve never heard of him) ukulele song - a mildly amusing message to Gal to let him know that I was fully aware of the mental health difficulties he was having and that I would always be there if he needed me.

Over the years, we spoke often about the song but nothing much came of it until Gal suggested slowing the tempo and giving it a kind of shuffle beat. As it was about him, I thought he should definitely sing the lead vocal, which I think works rather well. (*Vocalist’s note: It would help if I could still sing…)

You’ll find many personal references to Gal’s life in the lyrics. At the time it was written, he was 63, literally a fatal age for men in the extended Reeves family and he wasn’t having the best of times himself, still wrestling with the grief of a marriage break-up alongside the loss of his big brother and closest friend less than a year before. But even with all of this going on (and not always out of choice) he found there were plenty more mountains to climb.

The transition of the tune from Formby to Albers is a story in itself but suffice it to say that Hans somehow managed to transform it into this rather poignant opus.  He has also made a beautiful film to accompany the piece (see link above). All in all, it testifies perfectly to the reason why Gal’s cleats are somewhat care-worn...and he still has many mountains yet to climb.. (Terry Reeves)

Started writing this late at night April 14th into April 15th, 1-3am, one of those unexpected nights. I had a feeling, a thought and this came together fast. Finished it up today and did this live take tonight on the ol Baldwin. It's been awhile since something has struck me so quick. This song began when Joe, feeling a bit nostalgic, wrote the lyrics and composed it on his acoustic guitar. He recorded it and sang it with expert harmonies, then decided to share it with Eclectic Collective. We were all very excited to get work on our second song with Joe, as we all admire his songwriting.

  First up was Tez this time, oddly enough. He was able to identify all the fill spots and light up the solo without the rest of us even adding anything yet. Next came Ken, who usually goes first, adding his steady grooving drums and tasty percussion. Once the drums were down, Josh completed the rhythm section by adding his fretted bass. He also worked out an organ part to give the whole sound a bit of thickness. Also adding some thickness and texture, Stephen added a clean electric rhythm part, as well. 

  Once we had it in can we asked Stephen to mix and produce it for us, which he did in his always expert fashion. 

  This, as mentioned, is Eclectic Collective's second song with Joe, and we all enjoyed bringing it to life with him. He's a wonderful collaborator and an all around good dude. Do yourself a favor and go check out his page, which is rich in great songs. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

Just a girl and her music, trying to do everything on her own. I like older rock, hard rock, and punk rock music, but maybe not so much typical heavy metal. I only like a few songs by the big metal bands Metallica and Iron Maiden, but of course I like a few of theirs too. My music is therefore more rock or punk than metal.
Thank you for all the PMs proposing DAWs to me!!! I have now everything including and USB-Audio-Interface to record a bit more professional. My musical story: after the winter holidays 2015/16 my teacher told us Motörhead ist dead, since the main person of it died. We children did not really understand it. But I always wanted to find out what Motorhead is. So a few years later 2020 or 21 I finally wanted to know it and tried listening to them - and I liked them. Actually I never liked Metal, but with Motörhead it is different. One of their songs is Ramones, well then I discoverd the Ramones wich I also liked! At the beginning of 2022, I wanted to play their songs and started to play guitar, bought a 2nd hand Epiphone and got an amp from my older brother who has a band. I played very much and soon discovered I needed to learn barre-chords to play Motorhead, which I did. The Ramones songs were also the right songs, usually only chords and vocals, not too difficult, just the right songs to play and sing for me. 
Actually my first expierence with music making was my brother's band. When I was 15 or 16 he needed a female voice and asked me, so i did 2 songs with them and had a lot of fun. A bit later I started playing the guitar. I am very sorry for my poor sound of my first 2 songs. I did not have an audio interface and a DAW at the time I recorded and uploaded them. The songs were played in one go and phone-recorded. Hope that some of you can ignore the sound and enjoy the music.
