Started this game a few months ago (haha read: Laure Croft presents tune raider) and I am super excited to share the recording of the set I played on my first gig. Never recorded anything, so hearing my own set for the first time myself was quite an experience! Also playing this first time on big sound system and having these new types of nerves and adrenaline rushing through my body, lead to some challenging moments during the set. I decided to post it, even though there are some minor mistakes in it, but hey, every game starts at level one. 

Would love to hear what you think of the set, and fyi: I’m a big fan of honest feedback.

Imagine growing up near Berlin, getting into dance music, going to Berghain for the first time and getting your mind blown by techno. Then, ten years later, you become a resident DJ at the fabled club. Not many people—any people?—can claim this story, but for Fadi Mohem, what would be so many DJs' dreams became a reality. After getting his 2017 debut 12-inch Reckless in the hands of all the right people in Berlin, Mohem established a bold, bouncy techno sound with releases on Modeselektor's Seilscheibenpfeiler, Ben Klock's Klockworks and FJAAK's SPANDAU20, pretty much the cream of the crop of modern techno.

Now, this year, he's becoming one of Berghain's newest residents, alongside other exciting names like Sedef Adasï and Naty Seres (and Lakuti upstairs at Panorama Bar). As heard on his recent collaborative with Ben Klock, Mohem has modern techno down to a science, thanks to a combination of reverence for the old-school and clever rhythmic touches, like the irresistible snare pattern on "Prefix." His RA Podcast sounds like what you might expect from a new generation of Berghain resident: aerodynamic, heavy and, honestly a little midtempo compared to a lot of other young techno DJs. It's the sound the club has made world-famous, with cuts from Reeko, Heiko Laux and Truncate, plus some special moments from aya, DJ Deeon and Petar Dundov. It takes a certain kind of DJ to get to this hallowed place, and Fadi Mohem deserves it.

Exactly 4 years ago in January 2019, my friends gifted me a DDJ-400 controller for my 28th birthday to play around with. I downloaded tons of tracks, had no idea how use it, watched countless YouTube tutorials and just did what I thought was right. But what I learned very quickly is that there’s no right or wrong when it comes to playing music / DJing. Two years later, I upgraded my set up at home and spinned tunes as much as I could to practice, practice, practice. But the biggest learning of it all is to step out of my comfort zone. Everyone who knows me, would sign it that I’m very outgoing and loud, but when it comes to playing I’m absolutely shy and think I that I’m not good enough. And now - 4 YEARS LATER -  I recorded my first trippy, groovy, dark, atmospheric set.

@E110101 is the result of sound experiments with the intention to continue exploring a style from this argentinian techno power duo which was created in 2014 by two young frineds called Juan Ignacio Chiri and Guido Sartoris. 
TheirEuropean tour 'Back to Basics' tour which will start from the 1st til 31st of July.
Improvisation prevails as the fundamental axis during E110101’s hybrid sets ever since their inception in 2014. Preferably with vinyl and analog machines to achieve greater dynamism paired with surprising scratch techniques and decorating blends pushing high energy techno sets.

In 2016 they decided to start their own record label in called “Detroit Classic Gallery” based in Buenos Aires.“Detroit Classic Gallery” or D.C.G. prefers to get back to basics, to the purest essence, functioning as a bridge between legends and contemporary artists. All Detroit Classic Gallery releases come with a page of the D.C.G. Comic novel as a special collectible.
