Unsere Nummer 96 kommt diese Woche von einem aufstrebenden Schweizer Künstler, der es innerhalb kürzester Zeit geschafft hat, sich auch über die deutschsprachigen Grenzen hinweg einen Namen zu machen.

Die Rede ist von Milo Häfliger. Einem Soundnomaden,  der mit seinen Sets stets die Orte des erlebbaren und nicht erlebbaren auslotet. Angereichert mit einer Fülle von Emotionen, lädt er jeden Einzelnen dazu ein, sich seine eigene Welt des Tanz- und Denkbaren zu erschaffen. 
Neben seinen zahlreichen und sinnerweiternden Sets, die ausnahmslos alle Spitze sind, orientiert er sich stilistisch an der traditionellen Musik der südlichen Hemisphäre, die mit Ihrem Arrangement perfekt dafür geeignet ist Gefühle entstehen und für jeden Einzelnen erfahrbar zu machen. Dabei bewegt er sich stets irgendwo zwischen Melancholie und Heiterkeit. Ein Bereichsspektrum in dem jeder seinen Platz finden wird. 

Seine Musik ist aber nicht nur für eine gemütliche Couchsession an einem verregneten Sonntag geeignet. Ganz im Gegenteil. Durch tiefe Bässe und teils treibender Rhythmik, sowie einem etwas höheren Tempo, ist seine Musik auch durchaus tanzbar, was seine zahlreichen Auftritte rund um den Globus belegen. 

Obwohl er erst seit kurzer Zeit dabei ist, konnte er im letzten Jahr bereits schon einige prestigereiche Gigs verzeichnen. Unter anderem bespielte er das Glücklich Festival in Zürich, das Nuba in Paris, das House of Yes in New York, sowie in Dubai, Griechenland, Belgien, Russland und und und. Bald steht sogar eine Indien-Tour an. Es läuft würde so mancher wohl sagen. 

Uns freut es sehr diesen aufstrebenden Künstler für unsere Reihe gewonnen zu haben, der es trotz seines immer voller werdenden Kalenders geschafft hat, ein wieder einmal ganz vorzügliches Set aufzunehmen. Die Aufnahme besticht vor allem durch seinen spannenden Aufbau und der permanent präsenten melancholischen Stimmung. Ein Gefühl, welches den europäischen Herbst perfekt einfängt und folglich jedem von uns Raum zum erforschen seiner Selbst gibt. 

Wir danken dir Milo für dieses herzerwärmende und hypnotisierende Set aus dem Bereich des Jenseits.

Zu unserer #105 beschenkt uns diesmal der Berliner DJ/Produzent Marquez Lux mit einem treibenden, trippigen und zugleich hypnotischen Mix, der uns zwischen Raum und Zeit schweben lässt.

Auf die Frage wie lange er sich bereits mit elektronischer Musik beschäftigt, bekommt man die Antwort zu hören “X Jahre” - was in seinem Fall wohl so viel bedeutet, seitdem er denken kann. So verwundert es auch nicht dass der Berliner ein abgeschlossenes Studium in Sounddesign in der Tasche hat. Er versteht also eine ganze Menge von seinem Handwerk und das hört man auch ohne Frage klar aus seinen Produktionen heraus.   

Sein Set ist eine knapp 75 minütige Afterhour Reise, welche genau auf die gute alte 700MB fassende Audio-CD passt. Es kann also auch problemlos bei der Fahrt im Auto auf dem Weg zum Supermarkt gehört werden oder bei Bedarf zum Entspannen mit Freunden und Unbekannten zur geliebten Afterhour zuhause auf der Couch genossen werden.

Gewidmet ist dieses Set all den Soundliebhabern, die sich auch mal bewusst auf eine Stunde Musik einlassen ohne sich nebenbei mit anderen schönen Dingen des Lebens abzulenken.

Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich bei Marquez Lux für seine musikalische Odyssee bedanken, mit der wir euch nun maximalste Unterhaltung wünschen.

Unsere heutige Nummer 117 kommt ganz fresh vom Rocko Garoni ums Eck.

Das Multitalent Rocko ist nicht nur DJ sondern auch Veranstalter und Produzent. Und genau diese Mischung zeichnet seinen Sound aus. In Windeseile einen illegalen Rave aufzubauen, diesen dann mit seinem Set zu zerlegen und am Schluss noch den Morgen anzubeten. Er kann den Kopf in die steife Brise halten, weil er weiß, dass Feiern immer etwas Politisches ist, weil Freiräume nicht zuletzt auch gefühlt werden. Und Rocko kann mit seiner Musik auch Räume erfüllen.

Wenn man Rocko frägt wie er seinen Sound beschreiben würde, bekommt man eine äußerst lustige Beschreibung. 
„Ich mach Trainingsjackenmusik mit breiten Bässen. Das heißt: volle Direktheit, bei totaler Freundlichkeit. Brandungsmusik im Zeitraffer, bei der manchmal auch die Sonne aufgehen darf. Techno mit weichen, ausgeleierten Bündchen am Handgelenk, modern-retro eben.“

Für unsere Reihe hat er einen wunderbar verspielten Mix zusammengestellt mit einem wunderbaren Schlusstrack … einen Kalipo-Remix eines Joy Devision Klassiker. Rocko vielen Dank für diese umwerfende Stunde. Und nun die Trainings-Jacke angezogen und die Kopfhörer auf.
