Prior to coming to Hampton University’s WHOV as GM, he was a top rated Afternoon Drive/Evening Air Personality at Washington, DC’s Smooth Jazz 105.9 and Program Director & Evening Personality at WJCD Smooth Jazz 105.3 in Norfolk, VA.

He began his career in 1974 (50 years ago) in Savannah, Georgia at the age of 14 as a high school announcer at 1230AM WSOK in his hometown. As Program & Music Director for 11 years, he engineered the success of WPLZ-Magic 99/Richmond. The earlier years included programming WENZ/Richmond, MD of WSOK/Savannah, GA MD and gracing the airwaves of WIGO/Atlanta as a weekend announcer while attending the National School of Radio & TV Broadcasting.

In addition to working on air in Richmond, he became entertainment editor for Night Moves Magazine, enjoyed a successful 4 year run from 1982-1986 as Host/Producer of Soundtrack, a weekly TV entertainment show on NBC Richmond/WWBT 12. worked in a few acting parts in films, produced records, produces live concerts, and served as producer/host of Hampton Roads Weekend Magazine (a weekly one hour public affairs program)."

Shaksa Walden is a project of the top American producer Narada Michael Walden.  Ukrainian-American  smooth jazz and opera  singer  was  born in 1990 , September 5th, in Odessa.
 A singer started her career at 16 years when she was  a tv presenter. Later on, Shaksa got her music education at Berklee College of Music in Boston , the best music school in the world. She worked with the most well-known  professors in Boston and New York. Professor Maggie Scott (Juilliard), Broadway star Rebecca Perricone, jazz star Donna McElroy. Shaksa also graduated from New York Film Academy, and the last was mentored by a hollywood star Blanche Baker. By that time, Shaksa  was discovered at Jazz Club by one of the biggest American producers, Narada Michael Walden. Walden has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards and won three:Best R&B Song for "Freeway of Love" (1985)Producer of the Year. Non-Classical (1987)and Album of the Year for The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album (1993). Michael is one of the top American drummers. After being mentored by Quincy Jones, he transitioned into a role as a songwriter and producer. Narada is the most beloved musician of the previous  president of the United States, Barack Obama.
