In honor of the 1.5 million souls who were lost in the Armenian Genocide of 1915, I've prepared a 2 hour compilation showcasing some of my favorite Armenian songs & ballads. This will not make easy listening for most, as it ventures into somber hymns and percussion driven dances, as well as some informative narratives.

On a personal level, I am dedicating this mix to my great grandfather, Nishan Panosian, who fought in the Armenian resistance group known as the Fedayis. He was one of the handful of men to serve under Murad Pasha, fighting to defend his homeland and his people from the tyrannical Ottoman Empire.

To this day the Turkish government denies all claims of a Genocide having taken place, and the United States is reluctant to accept it from fear of damaging it's alliances with Turkey.

This April 24th marks the 100 year Centennial, and the last chance for these atrocities to be recognized as a genocide before the history books are closed on this matter forever.

No matter what the political outcome of this year bring. Our voices will echo throughout eternity.

The tranquillity of Habitas Tulum gave me the opportunity to hunt for the peaceful tracks in my broad collection and follow flow on whatever felt good. A truly beautiful sunset evening of a memorable trip to Paradise. Much appreciation to Eduardo Castillo for bringing me out for my first Tulum experience. <3

The duo Lost on Arrival has marked presence in the Mexican scene with distinguished performances; either opening or closing dancefloors in venues, parties and intimate but memorable after parties.

Besides their work as DJs, Vic and Fer have curated events through their Slowmotion collective bringing and playing alongside artists like Vruno, M.Rux, Matanza and Fata & Morgana in Mexico City.

Now, Lost on Arrival comes to Tepeme with a mixtape dedicated to animals and contextualized through an intro, samplers and tracks that refer to beauty, love and respect for them. In this essence, they manage to capture our mind and body for an hour and a half, taking us to the most natural soundscapes.

Every creature - even a flea, of which stone sculptures have survived - was important to the Mexica (Aztecs). Any animal could be the ‘double’ of a human being - in other words, it could share that person’s life and exert influence over his or her character. Gods too had the ability to transform themselves and appear in the form of animals. 

One of the most important was the jaguar (ocelotl) which the Nahuas (Aztec people) called ‘the king (tlatoani) of animals’. In fact, the jaguar was the animal double of Tezcatlipoca, protector of rulers and also of sorcerers believed to have great powers. Many images of jaguars have survived - sculptures, reliefs, paintings, images in codices - from pre-Classic Olmec times to the arrival of the Spanish, all of which give testimony to the central role played by this great feline in pre-Hispanic thought.

Burning Man 2018 - Deep Tunes for Deep Playa (Vol 8)

On a beautiful Thursday afternoon on the playa , Sanctuary , Happy Campers and Gardens of Babylon created “ We are not Robots “ a circus of extraordinary humanoids under the magical dome of 1001 nights camp over on the back streets of 4:45 and J .
This Was truly a bonding labor of Love , we had a beautiful silken dome and the floors were cushioned by playground rubber matts which made everyone take off their shoes so they can jump and dance freely in front of the 50 .000 Watt Turbo Sound System calibrated by our legendary sound engineer .
That being said :
We have decided to release one of the most hauntingly beautiful sets that captured everyones soul at the event .Our 2 favorite Aliens  BRITTA / UNDERS were supposed to play 2 hours , we absolutely had to ask them to prolong the journey for a full 4 hour set which can be described as a "Dustyfairytale"  .They seamlessly poured eclectic sounds and vibrations that made us dancing fools think it was part of a Techno sound bath experiment ,They surpassed our wildest imagination and the crowd has never been so mesmerised by their energy and frequencies ever since.  After hearing the feedback of this magical set , it was our duty to release this as soon as the dust settled. 
We HOPE You enjoy this set as much as we all did . 
From the bottom of our GIANT Hearts , we thank everyone who was able to experience this magical day with us at Burning Man 2018.

Wow wa wi wa! Our longterm friend Subcora is back for her second mix for sunset grooves and being it her second she has put together something very different than her usual style of play. (Exactly what we want at Sunset Grooves!). It is a fantastic mix full of surprising grooves touching different genres. Despite being different it still has that Subcora touch of smooth transitions and a delightful flow throughout.

La Planète sauvage (réinterprétation)

Es war einmal vor einigen Mondjahren, auf einer entfernten Galaxie, in der es so etwas wie Zeit, Uhren oder Termine nicht gab. In dieser Zeit gab es einen Planeten namens Ygam, auf den die Draags herrschten. Die Draags hielten menschenähnliche Kreaturen, sogenannte Om`s als Haustiere. Bei der Geburt bekommen die Draags bereits gelehrt, dass die Om`s wilde Tiere sind, die gebändigt werden müssen. Auch wenn diese gezähmt scheinen und sich umgänglich sind, muss Vorsicht geboten werden! In jedem noch so liebenswürdigen Om steckt ein wildes Tier. Auch Madowila, die Prinzessin des Draag-König Jukatoz, hatte einen solchen Om als Haustier. Sie bekam zu ihrem 6. Geburtstag einen männlichen Om geschenkt. Ihr Om trug den Namen Lucus. Zwischen Lucus und Madowila entwickelte sich über Jahre hinweg eine enge Freundschaft, so dass sie fast vergass, was ihr damals ihr Vater über die Om`s erzählt hatte...
Eines Tages, da Madowila nichts, ausser das Königreich der Draags kannte, fragte sie Lucus: «In Gedanken stelle ich mir eine unendliche Galaxie vor, mit schönen Formen, Kunst, treibenden Klängen – die pure Harmonie... Ach wäre das schön dies zu entdecken!». Aus den durch Lucus erschaffenen Tagträumen entrissen, antwortete Madowila noch ganz vernebelt: «Mein teurer Lucus, du weißt wie gerne würde ich diese Welt mit dir entdecken. Doch was wohl meiner Vater Jukatoz dazu sagen würde. Allein bei dem Gedanken bekomme ich wohl einige Mondjahre Arrest..».
Daraufhin fasste Lucus den Entschluss: «Madowila! Du weißt genauso wie ich, dass heute die Planten unseres Sonnensystems ihre spezielle Formation einnehmen... Treibende, mitreissende und wohlwollende Klänge werden ertönen... wir müssen uns nur von ihnen treiben lassen, um andere Galaxien zu entdecken und unseren Horizont zu erweitern. Wieso legen wir uns selbst Bürden und innere Grenzen auf, anstatt wir uns einfach treiben lassen? – Vertrau mir! Ich nehme dich an meiner Hand und zeige dir eine neue Welt!»
Noch paralysiert und überwältigt von diesen schönen Worten, machten sich beide, Hand in Hand auf den Weg...

Originating from ancient Greek, Mousikē is the union of 3 things; words with or without meaning, physical moves that we call dance and the evolution of music.

Rising from the land of muses, Anatolia; Mousikē started as a Soundcloud page & private parties in Istanbul. Now it turned into a series of musical gatherings all around the world, which ended up as a vibrant community with a great variety of colours and tastes.

With launch of Mousikē Records, roots of our young tree are expanding to various channels and music platforms to grow & give more goods to wider community; and eventually die and decompose to its core elements which will become life & inspiration to other livings in the universe.
