Antrea: Could be the name of a planet from a Sci-Fi movie. A world with bazaars and temples that are reminiscent of ancient human cultures, but with holograms and all sorts of wondrous spacecrafts hovering through the air. Vedat Mutlu @vedat-mutlu made revision of the legendary Black Earth by Fazil Say which was inspired by Kara Toprak, a popular song in Turkey. The composer of the song, Aşık Veysel (1891-1973), was the last great Turkish balladeer and the final link in a thousand-year tradition. The song describes loneliness and loss. All that remains is the black earth, the colour of the landscape in his native town of Sivas

[Release Note]
Welcoming back Serbian producer Tebra for yet another EP of his progressive ethnic music. A year has passed since we released Krug EP and it was just the right time for some new music from one of our favorite producers. This new record features two original tracks: Helm and Mesečina.

Helm opens up with a clean sounding string arpeggio revealing itself slowly throughout the introduction. Oud melodies take over for a few bars, setting an eastern scenery and eventually leading to a minimal yet heavy drop. The piece evolves with taste as we go through enriched versions of these three sections. The atmospheric textures and vocals of the break complete this sumptuous journey through eastern electronic beats. 

Mesečina emphasizes on oriental string melodies thoroughly supported by a bouncing low-end. Interesting ethnic percussions grooves and female vocals take over during the calmer parts of the piece, conveying a longing for new springs in remote places. 

This time, we are gifted with remixes from two experienced producers whose work we admire. Raw Main has crafted a groovy alternative to ‘Helm' sublimed with mind blowing synth arpeggios. 

Timboletti has once again succeeded at delivering an insanely well produced remix. Beats merge with synths in a beautiful and precise way. There is a lot to discover in this rich soundscape, making sure Timboletti's version will suit both home listeners and dancefloors enthusiasts.

Don Son - Desert Talk [trndmsk]

Turu Anasi Matala EP comes with three original tracks, Matala, Odissi, and Mamma Birjuida. Matala gets its inspiration from the hippie beach located on the Greek Island Crete. This island is where young Americans and musicians would hide from the conscript of the US Army. This place holds a unique energy. Turu was heavily influenced during his time on the island. Odissi the second track of the EP grabs its influences from an Indian dance. Turu was watching a clip on Odissi and was influenced by the music and dancers and all the other things in the clip. His mood was affected and he decided to create a track based on how he was feeling. Fusing his own groove to the other Indian elements he created the track. Mamma Birjuida was recorded after a night at Carpet Pattern Club in Ukraine. Uniting his bond with the Wagashi Brothers, this heavily influenced the outcome of the track.
