Intro/Days Go By

Design a Wave brings forth the International Journey of Synthetic Emotion EP on Alien Jams. A long-standing endeavor, the project has served as a vessel with which to navigate the sonic semiotics of science and it's accompanying fictions. Propelled equally by the misuse of digital signal processing, analogue synthesizers and parasitic earworms, these recordings serve as a milestone in this continuing adventure. Electronic tones multiply and subtract thoughout the release in a sublime cosmic flurry, paying homage to electro pioneers that came before. Above the transistorised jumble, crystalline synths emerge through deeply rooted rhythms. Weaving throughout experimental electronics to more dance ready tracks, Design a Wave veers sharply left, to carve his own wayward path.

In April 2015, Agean New Age Disco Act Sirens Of Lesbos released their 2nd Single ECSTASY on Exploited. The song that, according to Sirens Of Lesbos, sounds like a «rainbow coloured waterfall in the forested mountains of Tahiti», reminds us of those rare moments, where we feel one with the universe and tells us, where to find Shangri-La. Now we asked Purple Disco Machine, Kraak & Smaak and XXXY to remix the track.

A fat electronic beat along with great synths and beautiful chords. Produced by the best kept secret band from Rotterdam north. A2 made by the Moustache label boss David Vunk himself tracktittle with the name TR-ago-909 David Vunk - TR-ago-909 is a tribute to his buddy Tom Trago. a very deepish new style filterhouse track... with powerfull TR-909 drum patterns, miami vice toms, black basslines, classic 90-ies sounds and a sample that goes on and on and says i can't take this don't give up a true club banger. b1 Electrick Dragon - Blue Meanie excels in the wide palette of the musical scale's where this track is drifting on.The result is again a serious melodic track as you can expect in the meantime from this very talented producer. It is amazing how he's does this every time without the use of acoustic but only electronic instruments and still knows how to arouse an emotion which evokes again and again a euphoric feeling when you listen to it. If we ask Rick how he got the obscure title for this track, he says quite simply that it is the name from a sound bank in his synth that carries that name that he has used for almost the whole production of this track. B2 Dj Ricky da Dragon - Those Day's is clearly a sincere but also catchy tribute to the early days of Chicago house music. Especially the recognizable drum sounds from the TR707 give you the idea of being surrounded by the sounds of particular those day's. Accompanied by a very melodic Korg bass line, heavy pianos and synths make the atmosphere really complete. And to confirm the message even more , the track this time is carried by Ricky da Dragon's own singing voice forged to one song and can please many house lover , on the dance floor or not with this classic-sounding masterpiece. don't sleep on this, limited copies....

Continuing with our theme of chilled summery vibes we welcome back Avenue Red resident and Waehlscheibe label boss Alessandro Crimi, as he delivers his own self-proclaimed "timeless summer soundtrack".

"For me this is a personal summer soundtrack, but not just for 2016. This is a choice selection of old, timeless favourite cuts that bring back memories of hot, sunny days and really set the scene. There was only room for a 2 or 3 newer tracks on this one. In the beginning the mood is from a nice summer afternoon, later I imagine that it's getting slowly dark outside, until the sun goes up again (last 2 tracks).

Heroes is a new release by Utopyk & El Fulminador. The original version, an alternative Pop Rock song with a gentle beat and 80s reminiscences, has been taken from the album “2011“ released recently by the duo on Fulmen Records.

This EP also contains 4 previously unreleased versions, remixed by Rayo, The Imperishables and El Fulminador. All of them follow the original tempo of the track at 90 BPM, however taking it to alternative Electro-Acoustic reinterpretations (Rayo Remix), dark melodic Slo Mo (El Fulminador) and the powerful gritty sound created by The Imperishables.

Utopyk & El Fulminador are a duo from Spain and Argentina based in Berlin. Their music merges dark electronic beats with vocals in Spanish, German and English.

Wonder Stories is a vinyl and digital label for left-field house, disco, and techno. While their sound is eclectic, many similarities can be heard in the ethos of the music. It’s earnest, forward-thinking, and danceable.
