Founder of Boy’s Own and Junior Boys Own and an active part of Defected sub-label Faith, Terry Farley is a bonafide house legend. Teaming up with XOYO and Music Box Radio resident Wade Teo, the duo recruit New York-based spoken word artist Kameelah Waheed for a party-starting house cut on Radio Slave’s Rekids.

Terry Farley and Wade Teo team up with Kameelah Waheed to release their new track ‘Why We Dance’ on the hugely respected Rekids imprint. The release is joined with two varied remixes that also make their way onto Radio Slave’s legendary label. Some Rekids alumni include Carl Cox, Ian Pooley, Mark Broom, Hybrasil, Commix, X-Coast and many more.Across the A-side, robust drums, rocking low end, and piano stabs combine to provide the perfect backdrop for Kameelah Waheed’s infectious vocal. This jackin’ house track is a cleverly crafted production with a catchy hook and pulsating groove throughout.

On the flip, Farley and Teo deliver their ‘Lonely Dancer Remix’ to kick off the B-side, adding subtle percussions and floating pads for a grooving rework. Rounding out the release, Farley recruits Kevin Swain for the collaborative ‘Angels Take Control’ remix, with dubbed-out claps, menacing low-end combining for a heads-down closing track.

Four Four Premiere: Terry Farley & Wade Teo feat. Kameelah Waheed - Why We Dance [Original Mix]

After the great success of Italo Brutalo ́s debutalbum „Heartware“ it was quite obvious to let some of the hottest artists around rework some of the songs. 

Kafkactrl, who released some great EPs on Vortex Trax took „You are welcome“ to another – his very own dimension. While the original is quite straight his remix is dominated by electro beats paired with his stunning micro editing. 

„Reach Horizon“ has been remixed by CYRK, who are without any doubts one of the best live acts these days. 

Mufti from Mexico made a very dancefloor-ish remix out of „Dream Machine“, which will be heard at festivals this summer for sure. 

None other than one of the two Slow Motion Label heads, Fabrizio Mammarella, made a great dancefloor version of „Into a sampler“. 

South Korean ́s Shubostar created a great cosmic disco remix of „Heat of the Knight“, that can be played any time in a cool DJ set. 

Last but not least Italo Brutalo ́s longterm friend Kris Menace, who is out of the remixing business and denied requests from the biggest players the past years, turned „Into a Sampler“ into a powerful bass-in- your-face version. 

On top of that all Bungalo Disco created very special analog remixed videos of the original videos to complete the audio-visual remix concept of Heartware.

There's a new kid on the block: David Campos is the mastermind behind Pumuki, a Madrid-based Indie Dance/Dark Disco project with well-received appearances on Envy Music, Mélopée, Emerald & Doreen, and Espacio Cielo. The latter opens its doors one more time to the rising Spanish producer who cooked four ace originals for his brand-new adventure. On the remix duties, none other than Pin Up Club and Motorcycle Boy.

Premiered here, the version made with love by Pin Up Club undoubtedly raises the bar of the release. With solid themes issued on Relish, DGTL, BAR, Bordello A Parigi, Throne Of Blood, Nocta Numerica, Mireia, Toolroom, and NEIN, just to name a few, the legendary Dutch duo's capabilities need no introduction.

For their take on the title track, the lads started using their Midas Touch by speeding things a little bit: From 120 to 132 BPM in 0.924 seconds - establishing a new world record. Then comes the Raw Trance infusion settled by heavy doses of progressiveness and trippiness, resulting in a beserk peak-time entity devoted to creating historic dance floor memories.

Wonder Stories is a vinyl and digital label for left-field house, disco, and techno. While their sound is eclectic, many similarities can be heard in the ethos of the music. It’s earnest, forward-thinking, and danceable.
