-Tell us a little about yourself? 

My name is Francisco Morgan, aka. Mujipuki, I'm 21 and I was born and raised in Porto, Portugal! 

-How would you describe the city and music scene there at the moment?

It's a small city (Porto) but with very much to explore. A lot of gorgeous places. I don't go out that much, so I don't feel like I'm the right person to make that judgment. However, I do feel we have a strong and rich music scene, covering practically every genre.

-What have you been listening to recently?

I've been re-listening to Jay-Z's "4:44", one of my favorite albums of all time. 

-Who is your earliest musical influence?

Daft Punk, I started to make music because of them. 

-Anything coming  up soon - project/ gigs/ releases ?

Next into the FH mix series is Mexican born New Yorker, Amelia Holt.  Amelia’s ability to weave her sets using an array of genres pulled from niche scenes has resulted in her name becoming synonymous with Brooklyn's underground club circuit. From brazen Latin sounds to delusional krautrock, Amelia's distinguished approach to selecting has led to a resident show on N10.AS, and sees her frequently guest on Lot Radio. 

This time around for the FH series, Amelia leans to her record bag to provide an eclectic mix that reflects her disposition throughout lockdown. In her own words... "This mix is one of the soundtracks to my isolation, it is a selection of dark experimental sounds weaved with a meditative touch that quickly dilutes to a whirlpool of penetrative intense rhythms".

Based in New York, Amelia Holt is a disc jockey and a collector with sophisticated taste. The way in which she pieces together a narrative through music is fascinating and this has perhaps been best showcased through a selection of mixtapes that's she's released online for the likes of Mitamine Lab and Knowing Something amongst others.

Her taste is far reaching and having spent time behind the counter of a record shop in New York she has amassed a wealth of knowledge. 

Recently Amelia launched a residency on Public Records' online radio and streaming platform Public Access on which she invites dj's to curate audiovisual material. It's a testimony to her own taste and her notion of curation.

There's a lot more to come from her but we'll let her tell you all about that for herself.

`I am currently enjoying the last weeks of summer in Upstate New York with my best friend and her family. I been taking it easy and planning some music projects for the next year and hopefully some traveling plans too.

I am also flying to Texas end of September to visit my family and spend the rest of 2020 there. Anyway, this mix is called Drive Thru, as it was made for the journey upstate. My favorite place to listen to music beyond the club is a car, since there are no limitations to how high you can pump up the volume.´

Amelia Holt is the first guest for Them Podcast Series, who share with us an hour of what she does better - playing to the people.

Mexican born, NYC-based Amelia is a regular and distinctive part of the Brooklyn club scene. Her DJ sets fuse Latin rhythms and electronic beats, transforming the dancefloor into a culture-bending, otherworldly experience.

She has played in clubs such as Good Room, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Sultan Room, Jupiter Disco, Mood Ring, H0l0, Output, in addition to holding her own residency at Public Records. Outside the US she has brought her sound to Mexico City, playing at Yu Yu and in the Oblivion Pt.2, Portugal at Desterro (Lisbon) and Passos Manuel (Porto), Berlin at Fluff and Zagreb's Price On Request.

In her sessions, you will hear brazen Latin sounds, fresh Tropicalia, deep high octane, fine and elegant dance, alt techno, sharp electro, claustrophobic experimental music, post-punk punches and delusional krautrock. Without a doubt, she is one of the most interesting DJs in the spectrum of the New York scene.
