Canadian producer/DJ Jares joins Nightcolours with a powerful set of originals supported by remixes from Berni Turletti & Tomas Briski.

Opening proceedings is Darkest Night, based around a cheeky little vocal sample this thumper has all the right amounts of razor sharp synth work, shimmering percs and foreboding vibes. On remix duties is Berni Turletti, a stalwart of the Progressive House scene. Turning up the atmosphere whilst subtly retaining the original vocal and synths, this is progressive workout that’s going to fly.
Next up is Pressure. Edgy melodies and marauding drums make this a peak time stomper whilst on taking their turn on the rework is Nightcolours favourite Tomas Briski. Bringing his trademark dystopian vibes to the original, this is a dark, tunnelling monster.

“Iris” finds Dowden blending tight percussion with a syncopated bassline that’s charged with kinetic fire. It’s juxtaposed by a melodic block-and-synth motif that unfurls over the rhythm like a warm blanket on a cold night. As the track breaks down, gentle swirls of strings heighten the emotional pull before the returning drums ignite momentum once again. This is high-end engineering designed for deeper dancefloors.

Nurturing new talent through the ranks is rapidly becoming one of the hallmarks of New Violence. This time we head home to Liverpool and burgeoning talent Ferher. This exciting youngster has already been picked up by Under No Illusion and Yaya and here delivers two slamming numbers tinged with early 90's inspiration. Adding remix support is fellow Scouser Kinnerman whose rapidly ascending star has seen him land on labels like Elrow, Kaluki & Glasgow Underground.

Starting with Chanta, energetic drums married to a deep, rolling bassline build the foundations for edgy, nagging synths and chopped up vocals which swirl and swirl upwards to the break. Full of tension and suspense, a top drawer start to the EP. Next up Kinnerman delivers his interpretation of Chanta. Taking things in tribal infused direction and making full use of the original's tension, he adds his own bubbling touch to the bassline ensuring maximum impact for the dance floor. Closing things we have One More Time, a deep, old-skool inspired track with a nod to a very positive education from the young producer.
