Vancouver’s own, Jordan Gill makes his first appearance with Trippy Code presenting his 2 track ‘Ruapuke’ EP. The tracks take a melodic progressive approach with ambient sounds and driving percussion which embarks the listener on a euphoric journey. The headline track, ‘Ruapuke’ features a rolling baseline accompanied with a recurring, catchy lead throughout. ‘Indicators’ follows a similar vibe, however the haunting vocal sample adds that extra melodic touch to differentiate the track. Both productions are fully integrated into the underground progressive genre which Jordan Gill has become quickly known to follow.

Kostakis - Telos (Matchy Remix) [Movement Recordings]

The title track rolls forward like a wave, lives on the frenetic atmosphere underlined by a slightly darker synth, and a delicate voice, which is interrupted when the beautiful strident piano conducts the tonal change. 

The second track has a pulsating, hypnotic bass line and a lovely layered melodic synth. One by one, the musical layers are added as a majestic soundscape develops as the tension continues to rise throughout the track until you discover the beautiful theme of continuous harmonized evolutions.

For this months episode of Ear Porn, we have guest artist, Fresen. Fresen is a Colombian DJ/Producer born in Bogota, Colombia. Within the last few years, he immersed himself into production and found himself creating Progressive and Melodic Techno sounds. His passion for music and creating has lead him to clearly illustrate his creative and technical skills, with the influences of those he admires, whilst staying true to his pure and original sound sound as an artist. We are pleased to welcome Fresen and his epic live-recoded set. Welcome Arash Shadram and Sophijan on Einmusika. "God's Eyes Are Sleeping" is a deep and minimalistic melodic techno tune with a catchy hook sound. "Black Tears" is dreamy, melancholic and has a beautiful violin sample next to piano chords and a modulated synth lead. "Serenity" starts mysterious and builds a lot of tension through the track. The main melody is applied very carefully and keeps the tracks interesting mood.

Prove Them Wrong & Groovetique ✦ Earth x Moon x Sun LP [Outer Space Oasis Records]

PREMIERE: Prove Them Wrong & Groovetique - Echoes From The Moon (Original Mix) [Outer Space Oasis]

With the colder seasons ahead, Infinite Depth is up to its 21th EP. The originals of this EP are provided by the talented Italian Aree. The title track is called ‘Domino’, which forms the fundament of this collection of tracks. To this collection the Dutch Rowdy added his characteristic sound by creating a remix of the third track of the EP.

As mentioned before the title track ‘Domino’ forms the fundament of the EP. This fundament you can hear in the form the icy synth hovering around the kick, which provokes a mysterious feeling. 
Overall the track is stripped, but all elements are firmly present and forming an interesting composition. A composition to build on.

One of these extensions on this base is the second track, called ‘Radial Rays’. The track is a spectacle of dark elements appearing and disappearing out of nothing. Through these elements a continuous spirit is flowing, which drags you through the track. The arrangement is kept restrained, but compelling at the same time and carries on the unique feeling of this EP.

This brings us to ‘Concentric Circles’, the third track of the EP. It will bring you in a dreamy state of mind, right at the center of two circulating synths. Throughout the track, these synths are surrounding you more and more, like two concentric circles.

In his remix, Rowdy managed to maintain this dreamy atmosphere, while providing it with his characteristic unyielding lower part. The rock solid kick in combination with the classical influences and raw distinctive elements are forming a great final to this constantly expanding EP.
