The program of “Music Anthology of young Russian Composers’ is an attempt to present the prospect of ideas of young authors from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Niznny Novgorod, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa and Perm. The works by young composers are performed by MolOt-ensemble and Festino Chamber Choir - the youth formations from St. Petersburg. The interaction between young composers and performers created the new layer of Russian musical culture, a layer filled with the energy of renewal. 

Integrating into the European musical context, the Russian school keeps its bright individual features. As in the previous ages, young Russian composers can be characterized by the love to extremes, high emotional degree and a special sense of time flow. We sincerely hope the listener of “Anthology “ will sense this originality of expression and appreciate the individuality of the works presented in this album.

Denis Khorov - Barcarolle

Tranquil Moments is a little ditty of a piano solo I done on the weekend whilst going through some patches in Camel Audio Alchemy. Having heard this rather nice ambient piano I could not resist playing with it and I came up with this minimalistic piano piece of music inspired by the sound.
