1000 Suns are an instrumental post rock trio from Los Angeles, CA. Inspired by the drama and experimental nature of instrumental music, the use of effects pedals, samples and electronic instruments play a major role in the band's sound. 

2012 yielded The Spirit Molecule, drums were recorded at Berkeley Street Studio in Santa Monica, CA by Brandon Duncan (The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Ziggy Marley) while the remainder of the album was tracked and mixed at GhostNote Studio. The album contains a variety of melodic motifs, haunting soundscapes, and heavy grooves, at times manifesting the influences of Pink Floyd as well as Tool. The songs take the listener on a journey, while remaining surprisingly minimalistic.

The Body The Mind found light of day in 2014 after returning to Berkeley Street with Mr. Duncan and shadowing the process of returning to GhostNote to complete the tracking. Ranging from moody mellow pieces and surreal transitional montages to epic and heavy riff bashing, the album delves further into intricate arrangements and lush effects. A loose concept piece, it explores visual and conceptual themes of division, polarity, and contrast.

Epitaph Records is an independent music label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights spawned what became known as the 90s punk explosion. 

Along the way Epitaph proudly launched its sister label ANTI-, representing unique and distinguished acts. From the beginning Epitaph’s mission has been to serve the musicians on its diverse and creative roster - an artist-first model, radical twenty years ago, and much imitated today.
