Whilst he may be a fresh name to some, Russian producer Maksim Dark has already impressed the likes of Dubfire and Richie Hawtin with his fearless, groovy brand of techno, and the SCI+TEC boss has already tempted us with an early introduction to the ACIDSTAGE Ep via his recent Boiler Room set. 

Staying true to his name, Maksim Dark, our latest debutant has delivered 4 tracks of shadowy minimal goodness, each featuring the artist on demonic vocal duties. From the driving synth groove and white noise washes of ‘Bassewiser’ and the stripped bare, linear sounds of ‘Coneblower’ to the bubbling and yet biting sounds of title track ‘Acid Stage’ and sci-fi squeals and ominous chords of closing number ‘Harpsichord’, we’re given the perfect introduction to this exciting young artist.

Summer is coming to an end. The cold nights begin to appear and with this, new inspirations arise! I share with you my interpretation of Hans Zimmer's original composition "Time", from the soundtrack of one of the best movies ever - Inception. A remix in a different style from what I have produced in recent times. However, I believe that sometimes we should leave our comfort zone. And believe me, it was very easy to find inspiration in this sound, the melodies are magical! A little gift for you guys, so chill out and I hope you enjoy it!

In order to get a rough idea on what Jannowitz records' newest EP is all about just take a look at the title. “Breakout EP” already gives away everything you need to know. Because this EP is a real breakout EP - having three brand new artists for the label: Gayle San, GRAU and Christian Craken. 

Christian Craken runs the PHOBIA label in Bulgaria, and kindly took some of his precious time to work with “Palmetto”. It will take moment until you realize that “Palmetto” is really underneath his remix but once the catchy melody starts you will get what happened. And isn't that what a good remix is all about? Creating something new from tearing apart something already existing.

Lake Avalon is without doubt on the rise with recent releases on Stil Vor Talent or Parquet.
His tracks often take us to mystic places with their busy synth arps and epic breakdowns.
Ceres is no exception and will not disappoint the fans of Lake Avalon.
This melodic piece is accompanied by 2 remixes on this single.

The first one is by the label resident producers, SLP and SNYL. (Artessa, Click Records, ICONYC, Vagabond) They transformed the original elements to a peaktime bomb by not only raising the bpm, but also the tension throughout the track.

The second remix is a more laidback version courtesy of 88Dubs (Steyoyoke, Beatfreak) , brilliantly stripped down, but make no mistake, the breakdown has some surprises in store for the listener.

Without a doubt, the talented producer should not be left out of sight, confirmed by his release on Heinz Musik. With the remixers Fabian Vieregge and the Outta Limits figurehead Matan Caspi we come to an unanimous conclusion.

August Morning offers a groovy, slightly melodic basis to want more afterwards. Rolling basses from all directions, aligned to let it drift. Right on the point, a pleasant tune.
