JUST2 returns to Solid Grooves Raw as he serves up his new single 'Wasted'.

A familiar name across both Solid Grooves and Solid Grooves Raw in recent years with solo productions alongside collaborations with partner-in-crime Luca M, Romanian DJ and producer JUST2 is back again to serve up the goods. Making a quick return to sister-imprint Raw, he closes October with a shadowy effort as he drops his new single 'Wasted'.

Channelling the effortless drum grooves and airy melodies Romanian artists are well known for with his own tougher take on the genre, 'Wasted' balances light vocals with darker rumbling sub-bass for a subtle yet certified crowd mover.

Solid Grooves reveals the fourth instalment of its 'Raw Grooves' series as Carloh, CHKLTE and Shokë return alongside a wealth of new names including Francis De Simone and Inavo.

Launched as a home for impactful club-focused productions, Solid Grooves' sister imprint Solid Grooves Raw has released some of the collective's biggest go-to anthems of late, with artists such as Josh Butler, Ramin Rezaie, Beltran, JUST2 and Antss dropping heat on the label.

Usually an annual fixture in the calendar, 2022 becomes the first year to see two VA offerings on the imprint as the UK favourites return with the fourth volume of 'Raw Grooves', locked and loaded with both returning and fresh talent. Stepping things up again, the fourth in the series sees returning trio Carloh, CHKLTE, and Shokë drop fresh material while unveiling impressive label debuts from emerging names in Elijah Wolfe, Francis De Simone, Inavo, Kidoo, Havoc & Lawn and Dot N Life.

To kick off the new year Desolat welcome talented twosome Danny Serrano & Mendo
for a brilliant new three tracker.

Danny Serrano & Mendo have been frequent collaborators over the last decade, and are regulars on labels like Saved and Moon Harbour. They are high grade producers with a big sound that leans on house, techno and acid to cook up powerful dance floor
heat.

For their first track they link with Andre Butano for some atmospheric vocal work on „Ramon Ramon". It's a popping cut with big metal drums building tension as the Spanish spoken words add to the pressure. Drum fills and sweeping filters all lead to an explosive drop that unleashes loopy, low slung drums that will send the crowd wild.

The high impact „Grush" is next with tight and kinetic drums, air raid sirens and busy drum hits working you into a lather. It's a perfectly peak time, sweat inducing jam for the main room.

Closing out this EP is „Confessions", a busy and heavily percussive track that never settles, instead offering a flurry of snares, stabs, hits and whirring machine
sounds that power on with turbo charged bass. It's pure club dynamite.

'Italian talent Ruben Mandolini joins Josh Butler’s Origins Rcrds imprint in late July to deliver his ‘Be Sensitive’ EP.

Founded in late 2016, Origins Rcrds has quickly become a go-to imprint for material across the house spectrum, boasting support from key players including Jamie Jones, Joris Voorn, Seth Troxler DJ Sneak, and Anja Schnider, whilst releasing material from Kerri Chandler, Huxley, Nick Curly and Bontan to name just a few. Having previously released on the likes of Saved, Stereo Productions and Sanity, not to mention his stand out 2012 single ‘Also!’ on Snatch!, here we see Italian DJ and producer Ruben Mandolini make his label debut with a slick two track offering on Butler’s Origins Rcrds entitled ‘Be Sensitive’.

Title track ‘Be Sensitive’ opens the EP in style as Mandolini combines a medley of crisp drum licks, classic vox samples and interjections with vibrant snare rolls to reveal a kinetic lead cut aimed at the dance floor. On the flip, ‘See The Blues’ takes up a more stripped back aesthetic, employing rolling percussion, infectious vocal hooks and rich pads amongst weighty kicks to shape up the release with authority.'

“reaching any top 10 chart doesn’t interest me nor is it the purpose of this label,
I feel there is a big shift at the moment with too much generic tech house being put out on the market,Too much music is sounding the same & there seems to be a distinct lack of Depth in music aimed at the Dance floor, i want to show with this label that underground music can still be for the dance floor, it doesnt have to be Generic.

This is the answer Darius gave in recent interview when asked why is he starting Moxy Muzik

Moxy Muzik will have Bespoke hand drawn art for each Vinyl release & Darius has been working with renounced artist Charlotte Archer making sure each release has individual art.

The first release on the label is the EP ‘Dance of the Shaman’ by Darius Himself
a Hypnotic track that has an unorthodox method of using an organ as the main baseline, it’s a turbo charged left field house cut with rubbery bass running alongside slick driving drums. The infectious groove is full of late night soul and chords stabs & is littered with plenty of human emotions.

There are 3 remixes with Me Me Me label boss Man Power delivers a 13 min remix that has all the ingredients of becoming timeless classic for those that like quality deep house music that uses chords and keys to deliver a lush remix that would easily be one of the main tracks had this been on someones artist album. The legendary Doc Martin then strips things back further and layers in some steamy female vocals to his remix and East End Dubz delivers a remix that will have all the fans of the Romanian Techno sound frothing at the mouth.

MOXY MUZIK is a sol project while Darius still continues DONOTSLEEP with the rest of the DNS team
DONOTSLEEP had another huge Ibiza summer this time at Amnesia, a party that saw Darius play alongside artists such as

So as the Label is launched, Darius is doing a series of parties across the uk & abroad to coincide with the Launch of the label, 
these are ALL going to be all night long or 6 hour sets, and to be ONLY held in CLUBS. as well as starting a Monthly residency at Joshua Brooks in Manchester.
the purpose of this is to take ‘CLUBBING BACK TO CLUBS’ and at the same time, play long extended sets

Having agreed to play a 6hr set at Joshua Brooks Manchester in June, the event sold out in under 24 hours off the back of Darius tweeting a ticket link, before any artwork or even an event page was created, such was demand their was another date added the following week which also sold out
The atmosphere was electric & this led Darius to plan on a residency in 2019

So 2019 is the year Darius takes things back to basics, sure he will be doing the big festival shows & continue the DO NOT SLEEP residency all over the world, which includes North, South America tours, as well as Asia / Asutralia & all over Europe
