Dutch label PIV keeps on serving up the goods as they welcome Belfast youngster Robbie Doherty with another standout track. This one has been doing the damage for some time now on the dance floors around the world, so this is a long awaited release.

Once again here Robbie shows his love of 90's house grooves and a real grasp of depth. It's My Beat is a tight, kicking tune with rubbery bass rumbling underneath razor sharp hi hats. Well placed vocals bring a futuristic sense of soul and as the groove bumps on it's easy to see why floors have been rocking to this one.

This is another fresh sound from PIV and ever more essential artist Robbie Doherty.

Patrick Topping announces ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’ 

Trick label boss Patrick Topping recruits a host of modern dance music’s most exciting talents for ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’, the imprint's latest compilation. Showcasing his knack for A&R and keenness on pushing fresh talent, the roster contains numerous first-timers on the label as well as returning fan favourites. 

“To be fair, all these could have been A sides, they are that good! I’m buzzing to unleash these 19 bangers on the world. The variety in sounds is what Trick is all about, but they are all connected with a certain energy and distinction. Obviously, I’m biased, but I do think this compilation is unlike any other VA I’ve heard, and I’m really proud of it. It’s mainly an eclectic selection of house and techno, but there are a couple of cheeky Makina tunes thrown in at the end, for the craic! It's the first time Trick’s released Makina music, but the quality of the other 17 house and techno tracks, makes me think there’s the freedom to do so. Danko Ristanovic, better known as Dee R, was born in 1997 in the small Serbian town of Gornji Milanovac. He finds peace and love in music, he mostly listens to house and tech house music, which he likes to make himself. His desire is to become the next famous artist in the world of music.

Dee R - No Break

Say What? is back with some new heavy hitting tracks this time coming from YAB (IT) aka I AM BAM and c-HAUTEM - the duo delivered 3 straight forward monsters ready to attack the floor 

We start with the main track 'Rising Force' - a real low-end roller that is destined to blow up speakers worldwide with its deep kick, groovy hats and a hypnotising vocal to top it off 

Second on the release is 'Love Know5' that kicks off at a slightly higher pace than the previous track, but keeping it dark and punchy. The low-slung groove and the floating melody in the back make this a perfect tune for the main rooms 

The third track is called 'Noir' - another piece of madness that will fit perfectly in many sets. Rough beats and rumbling lows, what the title states, showcase its darkness and tie the release together like a glue

Ben Rau has a knack for getting to the heart of what the dance floor needs and wants, and that’s because he's spent more than his fair share of time there. With releases on labels including Knee Deep in Sound , his own INKAL imprint and the iconic BBE Music , plus gigs all over the world everywhere from Amnesia to Glastonbury, BPM to Pitch Festival and a previous Fuse residency, his is a dance floor journey that is decades in the making.  His music is regularly supported by a who’s who of those in the industry and his debut release on MicroHertz is set to continue those high standards.
For his first release on MicroHertz he unleashes his ‘You Got Me Running EP’, and first out of the box is the lead and title track ‘You Got Me Running’ which will get people running to the dance floor when they hear it. With its bouncing bassline, vocal hook, and energetic feel this is definitely one that will have the floor full and people
On the flip side is ‘Heat It Up’. This has been a big performer for both Hamilton and Rau in their recent sets and it’s a classy groove laden affair which is Ben Rau's signature sound. Its captivating rhythm and vocal hook give this it’s exceptional quality and the energy really comes through and gets the dance floor in rapture. Both MicroHertz and Ben Rau have a reputation for releasing standout music that stands the test of time which makes this yet another must have release on Archie Hamilton’s influential imprint.

In December 2018, Darius Syrossian Launches MOXY MUZIK

a new Vinyl & Digital record label 

“reaching any top 10 chart doesn’t interest me nor is it the purpose of this label,
I feel there is a big shift at the moment with too much generic tech house being put out on the market,Too much music is sounding the same & there seems to be a distinct lack of Depth in music aimed at the Dance floor, i want to show with this label that underground music can still be for the dance floor, it doesnt have to be Generic.

This is the answer Darius gave in recent interview when asked why is he starting Moxy Muzik

* THE MOXY MUZIK LABEL

Moxy Muzik will have Bespoke hand drawn art for each Vinyl release & Darius has been working with renounced artist Charlotte Archer making sure each release has individual art.

These artists have been carefully hand picked & the purpose of the label is to bring quality House & Techno that is aimed at the Dance floor, Music that can be heard in 10 or 15 years & still be enjoyed rather than music that is aimed at reaching a top 10 chart of a current fad, as Darius explains

The first release on the label is the EP ‘Dance of the Shaman’ by Darius Himself
a Hypnotic track that has an unorthodox method of using an organ as the main baseline, it’s a turbo charged left field house cut with rubbery bass running alongside slick driving drums. The infectious groove is full of late night soul and chords stabs & is littered with plenty of human emotions.

There are 3 remixes with Me Me Me label boss Man Power delivers a 13 min remix that has all the ingredients of becoming timeless classic for those that like quality deep house music that uses chords and keys to deliver a lush remix that would easily be one of the main tracks had this been on someones artist album. The legendary Doc Martin then strips things back further and layers in some steamy female vocals to his remix and East End Dubz delivers a remix that will have all the fans of the Romanian Techno sound frothing at the mouth.

MOXY MUZIK is a sol project while Darius still continues DONOTSLEEP with the rest of the DNS team
DONOTSLEEP had another huge Ibiza summer this time at Amnesia, a party that saw Darius play alongside artists such as

* THE MOXY MUZIK RESIDENCY

So as the Label is launched, Darius is doing a series of parties across the uk & abroad to coincide with the Launch of the label, 
these are ALL going to be all night long or 6 hour sets, and to be ONLY held in CLUBS. as well as starting a Monthly residency at Joshua Brooks in Manchester.
the purpose of this is to take ‘CLUBBING BACK TO CLUBS’ and at the same time, play long extended sets

Having agreed to play a 6hr set at Joshua Brooks Manchester in June, the event sold out in under 24 hours off the back of Darius tweeting a ticket link, before any artwork or even an event page was created, such was demand their was another date added the following week which also sold out
The atmosphere was electric & this led Darius to plan on a residency in 2019

So 2019 is the year Darius takes things back to basics, sure he will be doing the big festival shows & continue the DO NOT SLEEP residency all over the world, which includes North, South America tours, as well as Asia / Asutralia & all over Europe
