I used to be the class clown, man my school was a joke
I used to pass out, get drunk, smoked till I choked
Heaven knows, I was far from a broken home
Though I won’t lie, we were always close to being broke 

With time running out, I felt I was left behind
Forgetting what was said in class, I was wasting time
Was I fine? Laughing being fucking high?
Or was I blind, just searching for this life of mine

I was a punk kid, who drove my life through the dirt
I’ve done some dumb shit, man it was how I learned
I knew my mum was hurt, but it wasn’t my concern
Just hating life wishing that this world would fucking burn

Since my youth, man nothing seemed to ever change
I’ve got shit to prove, you gotta move you’re in my way
Till this day, the choices that I needed to face
I pushed aside, outta place just to deal with today

And when the skies turn a solid blunt grey
The pain inside my eyes, will be washed away
I can’t replace, all this hate I left in the rain
It’s hard to break this damn chain, when I’m shackled this way

Always battered and bruised, it takes me back to my youth
I was attacked and abused, from all the popular groups
Every day I would try adapt and push on through
Until the day I found myself within talented crew

Right then I knew, I was destined for greatness
I always stuck with my mates, even though they never made it
So today they’re my saviours and for that I have to thank them
One day I’ll see them later, but for now I’m out there chasing

A better life for everybody to see, 
I’m getting mine so now I know, that I’m catching my dreams
The weathers fine, it’s time to find all my enemies
And when I find them, I’ll remind them they define how they see, me
