Hybral is a Berlin based non-binary DJ and producer focusing on the darker side of electronic music, ranging from contemplative cinematic ambient and more introspective and slower ritualistic leaning techno to rough, fast, industrial and uncompromising hard techno - capturing feelings of anger, anxiety, chaos, fear, tension, desire and pain. 
Through layering dark, driving, distorted and seductive beats with trembling textures, dystopian soundscapes and hauntingly eerie atmospheres, Hybral not only increases the intensity and energy throughout their sets towards the end, but also shows a different side of hard and industrial techno that is more inward looking, evolving and mind-bending while still maintaining the hard hitting sound experience. 
By using awry harmonies and chaotic noise, Hybral intends to express how queerness disrupts and reorders norms by not following accepted paths and normative sound aesthetics. Their tracks shake listeners into a state of hypnosis, disorientation and ask to question ourselves and our position in society. Alarming timbres, modulated ominous atmospheres and distorted kick drums, noisy and in reverberation immersed percussions evoke the power and necessity of movement and destruction as a source of change.

Prior to emerging on the techno scene with 2017’s ‘Dream State’, BRÄLLE had already spent nearly a decade composing albums and relentlessly touring globally in the underground Death Metal and Hardcore scenes. After leaving that world, the insatiable urge to create visceral and emotive productions did not fade, and as a result, BRÄLLE was born. For the 161st edition of the SYNOID Podcast, @hybral takes us back to our last Weekeder in October through layered and evolving soundscapes in their opening set. Hybral begins with deep, rolling sub-frequencies and adds textured percussion and dystopian atmospheres, creating intricate details that unfold over time. "For me, it’s all about the progression—the journey of crafting a mood and setting the tone for the night."

The focus is on tension—not as simple build-and-release, but as an unrelenting, hypnotic rise that plays with the audience’s expectations. „I enjoy playing with the audience’s expectation of release, withholding it while the intensity continues to rise. It creates an obsessive and controlling energy, a subtle power play between the DJ and the audience. "

Brooklyn-based BRÄLLE is a creative force forged in both fear and necessity. Before making their debut on the techno scene with 2017’s Dream State, BRÄLLE spent nearly a decade immersed in the relentless world of underground Death Metal and Hardcore—composing albums and touring globally. Stepping away from that realm did little to extinguish the drive to craft visceral and emotionally charged music. Out of this transition, BRÄLLE was born.

This rich history lends the producer a distinct vantage point on the global electronic music landscape, existing far beyond the confines of fleeting trends and insular cliques. With releases on labels such as Soma, Mindtrip, Evilgroove, and his own imprint, Adversarial Machines, BRÄLLE’s sound is a swarming fusion of the psychedelic and the modern.
