Step into the smoky, dimly lit realm of Detroit's Dark Messiahs with their debut track, "Sphere." This piece embodies the essence of Dark Jazz, Doom Jazz, and New Jazz, transporting listeners to a place where the studio is always shrouded in a haze of smoke, the night extends a little too late, and the music resonates at a volume just on the edge of too loud.

As the rhythmic heartbeat of the ensemble, Sticks Thompson's drums lay the foundation, setting the atmospheric tone for "Sphere." Art Masters takes command of the trombone, adding a rich, resonant layer to the composition, while Reed Johnson's saxophone weaves through the darkness, creating haunting melodies that linger in the air.
