MPathy makes his solo voice heard for the first time with an established and rousing first EP. Having already shown his caliber as a dj/producer working as one half of ʻIʼm Fineʼ, MPathy is eager to push off in his own direction to continue to challenge and provoke existing concepts of making unique and forward thinking music. With so much more to come from this young artist, "Iʼm Yours" is testament to the philosophy that drives MPathy forward.

Title track "I'm Yours" is cradled with the seductive vocals of Amy Capilari. Pressing and pushing as the track drives on, MPathy weaves teasing percussion and haunting atmospheric synth work through a bouncing bassline. Rich with emotion and steeped with provocativeness, makes for a serene groove that does not fall short of hypnotising.

Fellow labelman Soul Button has his way with one of two remixes featured on the EP. A surging beat is tamed by gentle piano chords that fall gracefully upon a strong bassline.

David Jach is responsible for the second with a tantalizing and ever harassing remix as distorted vocals are layered over progressive groove and nudging sample work.

MPathy rounds things off with the devilishly endearing ʻSerenaʼ. Swaying synth chords are brushed on as if by an artist with his palette and easel and gentle pad work adds to the texture of this thought provoking and melancholic track. Perfect for those reflective Sunday afternoons.

This time the whole Steyoyoke Family - Soul Button, Sasch, Florian Rietze, MPathy and Dahu - will send you on a sensational music journey, accompanied by some of the most established DJ’s and music producers in the electronic music scene. 

Special Guest on the night will be Scotland’s most popular electronic dance music producer duo, Silicone Soul.
Since their first appearance on the Label ‘Soma Recordings’ in 1998, the duo gathered great respect within the electronic music scene. Apart from that the duo has produced remixes for ‘Schartrax’, ‘Roger Sanchez’ and ‘Röyksopp’ and have founded their own record Label ‘Darkroom Dubs’, where artist like ‘Swimming Pool’, ‘Silver City’ or ‘Wulf’n Flow’ have released their tracks. We are sure that the depth and quality of Silicone Soul’s sound will captivate all your senses and leave you with an indescribable music experience. 

Another special guest on the Steyoyoke House Odyssey will be Larsson. He definitely is one of these DJ’s that knows how to combine different music styles that automatically transform the dance floor into a atmosphere of magic.

Marc gained some of his first experiences in the electronic scene as a Resident DJ of one of Hannover’s most popular electronic music Clubs, ‘H.de.M’. The Steyoyoke family will be brushing the sand of its skin for the next couple of months, as they prepare to migrate south for the winter to Brazil. In wake of this landmark occasion Steyoyoke will be encapsulating the vibes in a special ‘Steyoyoke In Brazil’ EP to be released in December. The EP is made up of five original tracks from the family members and will also feature the winning track of the musicians Steyoyoke in Brazil contest.

Florian Rietze picks the baton up first as he sets things off with the ethereal ‘Desterro’. Gentle padwork creates the impression of lights blinking off and on again as the beat shuttles along an engaging rhythm. Distant vocal samples help create atmosphere and depth in this dreamy affair.

Hypnotizing vocals from BLANCAh stand at the forefront of the electric ‘Vendavais’. MPathy creates a landscape that is rich with atmosphere, where water meets the land and the wind creates the tone. Teasing Brazilian percussion samples come and go against a humming bassline.

Soul Button flirts between the more placid side of Brazilian life and the get up and go ‘carnival’ way of doing things. ‘Inspiração’ encapsulates the latin american flavour, endearing windchimes and ambient beach samples breakdown into a fiesta of rhythm and percussion.

As the title may suggest, Dahu has not held back in giving ‘Psicodélica’ a touch of psychedelic to it. A quirky vocal sample sets the tone, as energetic synth chords race across the board to deliver purpose. Tipping exquisitely over the edge, Dahu serves up a track that is ready for the floor.

Having the final say on matters is Sasch, with his well balanced funky anthem ‘Agora’. Building with perfection, Sasch has mastered a real eccentric beauty with this one right here. Broken guitar strings fling off into the distance as a bassy vocal harmony imposes more and more.

MPathy - Steyoyoke 12th Anniversary | May 8, 2024 | Ritter Butzke - Berlin

During its first 8 weeks of existence, Steyoyoke Black has effortlessly earned its place as a sister label for Steyoyoke Recordings. So now that Steyoyoke Black is officially launched and enjoying some very early success, it’s time for another label party to welcome the new sub label.

Bringing both Black and White together under the same roof with two dance floors, is an exceptional concept that is sure to bring the Steyoyoke love and vibe. The party will take place at Kosmonaut on December 26th and with so many things to celebrate, this double label night will be a mile stone event not to be missed.

Bringing the essence of all things dark to the ‘Black Room’ line up, is Skena + Whomi (back to back), as well as Pete Oak, Nick Devon and Dahu. Fronting up for the ‘White Room’ will be Soul Button, Talul and MPathy. We are super excited for this event and hope to see all the usual faces, as well as some new ones too. Remember to keep the date free so you can come party with us! 

MPathy - Steyoyoke White Meets Black - Kosmonaut Dec 26th, 2014

For our 40th release on Dreaming Awake we are so pleased to welcome Amir Telem to the label with his gorgeous Melodic Techno track Waves Of Time! 

After a video circulated of label boss Treavor Moontribe playing Amirs track Radhika, a sweet comment appeared from Amir. From there the two began communicating and the rest is history! Waves Of Time builds from a deep melodic techno groove and chord stabs laying the foundation of the track. Then comes the incredible breakdown Amir is so great at, where the synths comes to life and then a very surprising tribal chanting sample gives the perfect contrast to the fully electronic sounds up to that point. This is a track that is made to be played in the desert or other epic outdoor settings! 

On the remix duties we also welcome a new name to Dreaming Awake, but not a new name to Melodic Techno fans around the world, as MPathy has well established himself as one of the best around. Its been a dream to have him on the label and his remix is everything one would expect from this super talented producer and more! Taking the track into a more driving, heavier groove, this is a peak time tune that still keeps the melodic and mystical elements from the original.

Here’s a little insight into the quality of an evening with Steyoyoke, these two live recorded sets by label dj’s I’m Fine and Soul Button lifted the dancefloor at Golden Gate with a well crafted blend of deep and tech-house. So make sure to come along to the the next party to feel that added intensity of a Steyoyoke label night.

I'm Fine at Golden Gate, Berlin

It’s hard to imagine that a year has already passed since the founding of Steyoyoke. A string of successful releases has been accompanied by some of Berlin's steamiest nights and Steyoyoke doesn’t plan on stopping there. As a means of marking its first birthday the label will be playing host to one of Berlins most notorious night clubs, Ritter Butzke, on what promises to be an evening to get the heart racing. Two floors of only the deepest and most provocative house music will serve right for such an occasion and with such a strong lineup to boast it won't be hard to find.

The full Steyoyoke uniform will be on display with Soul Button, Antonio Olivieri, Sasch, I’m Fine, and Dahu leading from the front with that Steyoyoke passion that burns so bright. The lineup is completed by some very special guests: Oxia [InFiné / 8bit], Aki Bergen [Neurotraxx Recordings], Marc Poppcke [Crossfrontier Audio], Nick Devon [3am Recordings], Mat.Joe [OFF Recordings] and Fumée Grise [OFF Recordings], all of which have enjoyed much success within the industry and have brought the heat to many a dancefloor across the world. Each guest will also be releasing a remix for Steyoyoke and will be available on vinyl release especially for the night.

With his distinctly beautiful debut EP ‘Treibholz’, the talented dj and producer Florian Rietze is welcomed into the Steyoyoke family with open arms. Florians delicate blend of unique and eclectic sounds has captured the attention of many within the industry. The recognition received has been earned through Florian’s unique and skilled approach to producing music. This young dj/producer has a bright future within the deep house scene.

Isolated melodies drift ever closer to the beat to evoke a sense of melancholy with the opening title track ‘Treibholz’. Florian effortlessly weaves together refined and at times surprising sounds to conjure up an almost dream like state. Gracefully building throughout, ‘Treibholz’ is a downtempo treasure to keep for those somber moments as spring struggles to shake off winter.

‘Treibhaus’ is an embracing and emotionally haunting track that lingers within the heart. Persistent vocals create the narrative of this track and resonate against idle synth chords to create ideas of insecurity. A beautifully disturbing track with a lot of heart that is sure to reach out to a lot of people.

The EP also features two remixes to help put the finishing touches on this successful debut EP. MPathy’s remix of ‘Treibhaus’ is progressive affair that lifts you high and beyond the clouds. The second remix comes from Antonio Olivieri. The remix takes a more direct and driven take on ‘Treibholz’ and yet still manages to keep the clarity of sounds that the original holds so well.

Berlin based DJ/Producer, MPathy, developed a strong interest for electronic music at a very young age. Growing up in the city of Berlin he was highly influenced by the electronic music scene in the 90’s. He later spent a couple of years in Chicago and also in Shanghai where he got involved with the local electronic music scenes, which ultimately shaped his outlook on electronic music today. 

With Techno music and DJing being his greatest passion for a long time, he started to work on his own productions in 2008. Since then he has produced Techno, Tech-House and Minimal music for various record labels.
After finishing his audio engineering studies in 2012 he joined the Berlin based Ethereal Techno label Steyoyoke. MPathy is responsible for the first and most successful Steyoyoke release in collaboration with Antonio Olivieri, ‘If I Were Music’. He played gigs all over Europe, Brazil and Africa and shared the decks with Oxia, Coeus, BLANCAh, Rauschhaus and Ran Salman, just to name a few.

MPathy is eager to push off in his own direction to continue to both challenge and provoke existing concepts of making unique and forward thinking music.
