Wenn jemand im Deutschrapgame ein low profile keept, dann sind das die Dramadigs aus Bremen. Tsnd Mrk und Konfus sind wahrscheinlich die gechilltesten Beatmacher und MCs, die je an MPC und Mikrofon geschlurft sind. Und wahrscheinlich ist es genau diese Eigenschaft, die ihre Musik so unverwechselbar macht. Ein Dramadigs-Track erzeugt automatisch ein warmes Gefühl in Kopf und Bauch und nicht selten den Wunsch, dass dieser Beat am besten nie mehr aufhören sollte.

Warum dies so ist und wie genau sie das hinkriegen, lässt sich nur mit so ungenauen Begriffen wie Soul, Gefühl oder Aura erklären. Wer ihr Album „Das muss doch nu wirklich nich sein“ das 2012 bei A.U.D.D.A. / MPM erschien kennt, der weiss wovon die Rede ist.

Jetzt haben die Dramadigs „Bei aller Liebe“ ein Album gemacht, auf dem sie ihre Musik mit einigen ihrer Lieblings MCs teilen. Sie selbst geben dazu mit typisch dramadigschem Understatement zu Protokoll: „Baldigst popaldigst kommt ne Sache. Mit vielen anderen Sachen auch“.

Bei der „Sache“ mit dabei sind Keno, Eloquent, Veedel Kaztro, Luk&Fil, Demograffics, dude & phaeb, Sonne Ra, DCS, Fatoni, Schaufel & Spaten, Rino Mandingo, Slowy und Funky Cottleti, die alle jede Menge Liebe zurückgeben.

Die Klippe „Produceralbum“ wird dabei nicht umschifft, sie existiert schlichtweg nicht. Wenn die Dramadigs „play“ drücken und ihr Freundeskreis das Mic rotieren lässt, ist die Welt einfach in Ordnung. Punkt.

Um das Wohlbefinden noch zu steigern, erscheint „Bei aller Liebe“ als Doppel-LP mit den
dramadigschen Instrumentals auf der zweite Platte. Limitiert auf 500 Exemplare.

Zum Record Store Day am 19.April gibt es ausserdem eine RSD- Edition von „Bei aller Liebe“, der zusätzlich noch eine 7“ mit Songs von Audio88 & Yassin („Hoooo“) und Grasime („Leprechaun“) beiliegt. Ebenfalls limitiert auf 500 Stück und nur beim Plattenhändler deines Vertrauens erhältlich.

Finally, almost three years after the well-received Orange Wine EP, and three international tours, Okvsho is back with their fourth project “A place between us”. Georg and Christoph Kiss, the two brothers behind Okvsho, are showcasing a project that is more intimate and bolder than ever, offering an insight into their thoughts, feelings, and experiences during the last two years. The unique style Okvsho has become known for in recent years has once again evolved, combining organic and electronic elements with beautiful harmonies and expressive rhythms. 
Okvsho's second LP will also be the first full-length project to be released on the newly founded Zurich-based label Current Moves, with which the Okvsho-brothers aim to shape the young European jazz scene they are inspired by and also an established part of.

Introducing 'Soulé,' the first single from the highly anticipated upcoming album 'A place between us.' by Okvsho (@Soulofzurich). Emerging from a jam session gathering the blossoming young jazz scene of Capetown during Okvsho’s South Africa Tour, the composition invites listeners to surrender to its evolving cadence, meandering through a tapestry of groovy percussions, silky chord progressions and a symphony of delicate guitar licks and grounding string arrangements.

“As we couldn’t take our band to South Africa and Eswatini, we found different musicians for every gig we played through Instagram and with the help of the people we met during our journey. We played different versions of Soulé at every gig, but only after our last show in Cape Town, we knew where this song was going. Back in Zurich we started to record with some of our long-time collaborators and friends and Soulé emerged, a beautiful collaboration between Cape Town and Zurich.”

“At the start of the song you can hear the legendary saxophonist Mthunzi Mvubu asking “in riddim?” after we asked him to use the saxophone as a percussion instrument during a recording session in Johannesburg.”

Two brothers, surname Summers. London rap duo Summers Sons drop the second single from their forthcoming album project ‘Still Nothing Still’. Turt and Slim have updated their beloved jazz rap sound with a more electronic, trip-hoppy vibe.

Turt: „September 1st 2021, I woke up in hospital in a lot of pain. It was the second time in three months and both times I'd suffered five seizures. After a lot of tests and an MRI, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. The doctor showed me my test results and told me I had abnormal brain waves and excessive electrical activity in my brain. Too much electric in my brain? That made sense to me.

I knew it was important to talk about Epilepsy on this album, to understand my own experiences but also to help other people do the same. Epilepsy has taken its toll on me mentally and physically but the diagnosis gave me a framework to better understand my brain, and forced me to be more mindful in how I balance and direct my energy. Every experience, good or bad, brings new perspectives. This one hit me hard, but it also sparked so many of the ideas that formed this album. I guess everything happens for a reason!"

Since 2018 Summers Sons have released four albums (‘Undertones’, ‘Uhuru’, ‘The Rain’, ‘Nostalgia’) and a string of high profile collabos with artists like C.Tappin, Twit One, The Silhouettes Project and Koralle. Not forgetting Slim's beat tape for KO-OP.

In 2023, Turt released the album ‘The Questions’ as one third of the project Syrup (the other two are Twit One & C.Tappin) while Slim released an album project (‘Cerulean’) with Benaddict and Ella Mae Suref. Turt also dropped two singles with the Silhouettes Project alongside Nix Northwest and Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn.
