The producer duo provides a laidback jazz-groove with Pachakuti on sax, piano & rhodes that serves as the perfect backdrop for Freiburg-based r&b singer Ceeopatra. For fans of Jill Scott, Jorja Smith & Erykah. The spacy artwork comes from New Yorker collage artist Jonathan Conda.

Oil Slick is the first single from the debut album by Duoya. The Swedish duo is formed by Gustav Horneij and Dimitrios Karatzios, known notably for Organic Pulse Ensemble. Their first full length album is dropping early October and is called "International FM" and will be full of Funky, Jazzy and lovely tunes!
Oil Slick is a perfect introduction to the project. Laid back and chill the song is taking you on a stroll in the Islands. All recorded live on multitrack with a mix of vintage and modern equipment the music feels like from a different time. While keeping it pretty contemporary on the arrangements, Duoya has no time boundaries and the song's atmosphere will quickly win you over and give you a breath of fresh air.

Based in Berlin and Hildesheim (with family roots in Colombia & the Netherlands), they are crossing lo-fi beats, jazz, latin and new age music with seemingly effortless ease. Pachakuti plays sax, flute, piano, clarinet and harmonium while young.vishnu is handling the production and adding bass, drums & percussion. Flexi with the Disco-tech is a very jazzy and funky tune that comes from the Swedish duo Duoya. Part of their up-coming debut album titled International FM (Funk Machine). The song was written and recorded by the two musicians during the lockdown while respecting the social distancing, they were never in the same room. Sending their own recordings back and forth they still managed to make it sound like a whole band was playing the song live.
The song will transpose you on a night club during the 70’s on the lighting up disco dancing floor. Where you’ll be compelled to burst into dancing and showing off your wildest moves.

The full début album by Duoya is now available for pre-order on digital and vinyl editions.
