Hope Song is the perfect song to introduce my new album. Endless Era is the collection of music I wrote in the last part of the pandemic, it was a true and honest moment of creating music, specially with my friends Telemakus and Ted Taforo, we’ve been collaborating and sharing music for the last 3 years, and the process was so natural and fluid. Mainly because we think the same way when it comes to the process of music creation.

Dutch saxophonist, producer and composer, Thysenterprise, shares melodic piano-led jazz head-nodder, "'Sounds After The Fade-Out”.  One for fans of Robert Glasper, Bill Evans and Makaya McCraven. 

Thysenterprise tell us, “"'Sounds After The Fade-Out” describes the feeling that I felt days after my dad’s funeral, when life had to go back to normal, but due to sorrow I couldn’t see things clearly. Friends drinking, crowds cheering at basketball matches, loud laughter... all while having a numb feeling. It’s one of the few tracks my dad heard in its beginning stages, just before passing away. I had the chord progression since 2017, but finally was able to write the melody last year. It hints to Duke Ellington & John Coltrane’s ‘In a Sentimental Mood’, a song which was played at that same funeral. No denying that Robert Glasper was a major influence on writing this tune and real heads can recognize the drums from Glasper’s 'F.T.B.'. The bass line was loosely inspired by the melody of 'Bottom of the Barrel,' a Grant Green gem and a personal favorite of mine".

In his latest album, 'ESSENTIAL,' Thysenterprise pays a sincere tribute to his late father, creating a musical journey that blends jazz and hip-hop influences. The album revisits melodies from iconic jazz records that were pivotal in his father's influence on his musical upbringing.

This collection is deeply personal, showcasing Thysenterprise's emotional connection to the music. The liner notes, written by John Morrison, encapsulate the sentiment: "We play for pleasure, we play to understand ourselves and the world around us, we play to celebrate and remember our loved ones”.

'ESSENTIAL' smoothly transitions through a range of sounds, from spiritual to hip-hop, presenting a contemporary exploration of human emotions. Two brothers, surname Summers. London rap duo Summers Sons drop the second single from their forthcoming album project ‘Still Nothing Still’. Turt and Slim have updated their beloved jazz rap sound with a more electronic, trip-hoppy vibe.

In ‘Growing Pains’ Turt deals with the impermanence of life. A topic that has gotten a new urgency for him since having been diagnosed with epilepsy in 2021.“ One thing I've learnt in life is you never see it coming“ Turt explains. “Any day it can all change. The impossible to imagine is just round the corner. For better or worse. Sometimes it's painful but it's all growth. Still nothing still.” The single comes with a great visualizer by Seb Luke-Virgo.

Since 2018 Summers Sons have released four albums (‘Undertones’, ‘Uhuru’, ‘The Rain’, ‘Nostalgia’) and a string of high profile collabos with artists like C.Tappin, Twit One, The Silhouettes Project and Koralle. Not forgetting Slim's beat tape for KO-OP.

In 2023, Turt released the album ‘The Questions’ as one third of the project Syrup (the other two are Twit One & C.Tappin) while Slim released an album project (‘Cerulean’) with Benaddict and Ella Mae Suref. Turt also dropped two singles with the Silhouettes Project alongside Nix Northwest and Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn.

Summer of 2023: Koralle wants to escape the heat of Bologna for a few weeks. He is heading South and rents a small hut by the sea near Ravenna. One night he meets Francesco Giampaoli, a seasoned jazz & world musician at a bar on Bassona beach. The two had worked on music before and Koralle visits Francesco the next day at his studio which is stuffed with analogue gear and instruments. He stops by every single day for the next weeks and the duo creates some incredible strange music. For their new single “Vai Pure Quando Vuoi Pt. 2”, they have invited German producer legend Twit One to collab.

“Bassona” (LP/Digital) drops 22nd November.
