Two brothers, surname Summers. London rap duo Summers Sons drop the second single from their forthcoming album project ‘Still Nothing Still’. Turt and Slim have updated their beloved jazz rap sound with a more electronic, trip-hoppy vibe.

“‘What It Is’ was the second track we made on the album, this one really solidified the vision for the rest of the project.” Turt explains. “I was in a bad way mentally and physically while writing this. Every day was a struggle to get out of bed. Every morning I'd wake up feeling like I was stuck in a loop, with nothing to punctuate my days. It forced me to focus on the tiny details. The patterns, the connections. Sometimes it’s slow, but nothing's still. The work ain't always light, but the Light is always working!”

‘Still Nothing Still’ will be available digital and on LP on April 12th and is accompanied by a dope short-film by Seb Luke-Virgo

Since 2018 Summers Sons have released four albums (‘Undertones’, ‘Uhuru’, ‘The Rain’, ‘Nostalgia’) and a string of high profile collabos with artists like C.Tappin, Twit One, The Silhouettes Project and Koralle. Not forgetting Slim's beat tape for KO-OP.

In 2023, Turt released the album ‘The Questions’ as one third of the project Syrup (the other two are Twit One & C.Tappin) while Slim released an album project (‘Cerulean’) with Benaddict and Ella Mae Suref. Turt also dropped two singles with the Silhouettes Project alongside Nix Northwest and Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn.

We're proud to present “Mutual Friends". Our third, and long awaited compilation put to life by Stian Stu from Mutual Intentions. The concept of the album is pretty self-explanatory: It's a collection of instrumental hiphop beats made by the Mutual Intentions in-house producers and our friends from abroad. The LP features jazzy hiphop beats from top notch producers such as FloFilz, Bluestaeb, Fredfades, Elaquent, Ol’ Burger Beats, SRAW, 10.4 ROG, Yogisoul and many more. It reflects to two main things: our love towards nature and trees in general and also our producer's favorite weed strains.
If you check the artworks, you can see how similar some trees can look to certain weed nugs. Nature, chill, lofi & real hip hop. This vibe was our aim with this project. HUGE love to all artists involved with their beautiful productions! <3
