MindTrip brings the first studio collaboration between Portuguese uprising talent Nørbak and Argentinian head honcho Pfirter. Artur Moreira aka Nørbak introduced himself to our MindTrip world with a contribution to the Mutable Minds series, which led to his debut EP 'Praying to Silence' in April 2020. Since then, he has rapidly evolved into an established producer with his own signature sound. After Pfirter's remix work on Artur's label Hayes, the two exchanged a few 'live takes' that led to four finished tracks that complete their first joint work: 'Life, Truth, Freedom, Fear'. This release is the final outcome of two artists coming from different generations, yet sharing the same view of the raw and forward thinking sound of Techno. Berlin based French producer Angioma offers up a batch of fresh, techno-infused tracks with the Rebar duo on remix duties.

Opener 'Regime Change' kicks off with a daunting ambiance, developing into a captivating vortex of spiraling synths atop a steady locomotive beat. 'Mutiny' complements perfectly, with its grave tension and pummeling percussion, guiding you through the track in an otherworldly manner. 'Red Sea' is a resolute, bouncy track with a glitched-out lead and immersive melody, that proposes an entirely new, acid-tinged atmosphere breaching the usual norms of techno. It’s this track that catches the eye of moC label chefs Rebar who give it the remix treatment, adding some grit through brooding layers and soaring arpeggios.

" Hikikomori " Japanese term to refer to the social phenomenon that consists of isolated people who have chosen to abandon social life; often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement, due to various personal and social factors in their lives. All the tracks have been produced during the COVID19 quarantine with several students and friends via streaming. Each track tells a story and is a fusion with the style of each artist.
