While exploring the ADDAC 112 VC Looper & Granular processor there were a lot of “sound wise” hot spots : suddenly I got caught by an atmosphere kinda reflects the mood the world covers at the moment.

Although the ADDAC 112 has countless patch options, this recording is a simple set up “based on 1 loop”.

For max listening experience use a bass happy device.

Patch info:
- ADDAC 112 plays an ambient loop as one layer and multiple layers added as grains.
- The 4 outputs of the ACL QLFO are patched into the WMD Quad attenuator.
- WMD Quad Att channel 1 into ADDAC 112 “position deviation”
- WMD Quad Att channel 2 into ADDAC 112 “length deviation”
- WMD Quad Att channel 3 into ADDAC 112 “position”
- WMD Quad Att channel 4 into ADDAC 112 “play lengt”
- By altering the 4 attenuator channels manual the grains changed slowly.
- Manual driving some 112 knobs.

KONtrast "when dark and light meet"

A one take stereo studio recording exploring the new modular set up for some experimental ambient tracks which wil be released on several third party labels.

"KONtrast" is based on the daily circle of light and darkness, it's in fact a never ending circle changing each cycle a bit throughout the year.... Nature depends & reacts on this circle; this piece of experimental ambient reflects this symbiose.

TIP: lights out, headphone on (attention, the start has a soft volume) and close your eyes!

About the patch, modules & arrangement:
- Main modules, Benjolin, B.I.A, g0, Pittsburgh Modular, Moog Mother 32 and several modules that create pulses.
- The patch has many attenuators used to control audio and CV by hand.
- The arrangement tells one circle of light and darkness starting and ending at dawn.

Transition is a live studio session inspired by a performance and talk by Todd Barton at "Het Concertgebouw" in Amsterdam organized by "Voltage Control Amsterdam".

Todd Barton introduces his performance with a talk how he proceeds - after 40 year doing what he knew he was going to do - with the modular he tries to follow the sound that happens where transition is the key element.

So during this live studio session I started and followed the sounds: it was a fine ride... Thanks Todd.

Transition is played in one take and all sounds and modulations are "handmade" - the pitch in the middle section played via "ACL Sinfonion".

Some other modules: Benjolin, DFAM, Mother32, Pittsburgh Modular (various), Instruo "Troika", Koma Komplex Sequencer, Alright Devices Chronoblob, .....

Listening with headphone makes this transition more intense and can change you the way you look at things \0/

Moon legend

mr.coon, in real Gerhard Martini was born in Bolzano/Bozen, South Tyrol in 1972. While growing up in Terlan, he attended the Academy of Painting Art in Florence but found his true passion in music. After releasing his first music projects through TV and radio spots, Gerhard suffered a traumatic brain injury in an accident just two weeks after his first live performance in 1998. Despite being heavily medicated, he fought his way back to life and decided to pursue a career in music using his technical capabilities. In 2004, he produced his first album "Die Träumer" in cooperation with Martin Troger. In 2010, he was awarded a scholarship at the Music and Media Academy of Hamburg and completed his studies to become a Musicdesigner. Today, Gerhard aims to live solely through his music and creative projects in collaboration with other artists, various offices, or fine arts. 
mr.coon presented himself at the Live Audition 2022 with a DJ set of his own production. His sound is truly interesting and original, and the sought-after sounds, along with the vocals, create unique atmospheres. He uses percussive elements brilliantly, but I would have chosen more pressing rhythms and a slightly higher BPM, without of course distorting his own sound. This already mature artist certainly still has a lot to say, and I recommend that he continues to believe in himself but also tries to break out of his own musical patterns, allowing external influences to present a product that is listenable to many, especially when participating in a competition of this type. I don't mean to say "commercialize" yourself, but to be more ear-catching depending on the occasion. That being said, his passion is what emerges first and foremost. His desire to continue making music despite the unexpected events that life throws our way is truly exemplary. Don't be afraid to express yourself and don't be afraid of your own abilities.
