The debut release, a 12" featuring four DJ-friendly edits from Voodoocuts and SoulBrigada sets the tone and has a fine titular pun to boot in Afreaka! Voodoocuts takes the A-side duties, pairing up the raw '70s Ivory Coast funk of "Kelja" with the steamy Latin styles of "Tortoise Loops". Those wanting something a bit more disco in sound will gravitate towards the "Hustleman" edit from SoulBrigada which originates from West Africa and has a killer horn line!!! The sweet sixteenth instalment in the Dubplate series sees regular contributors Beatsy Collins and Bopperson deliver two firing, dance floor friendly re-works of a couple of classics from the great man that is Bobby McFerrin. 

Beatsy Collins' re-work of Thinking About Your Body has been knocking around on mp3 for some time now, and has been a mainstay of sets from a small selection of London's finest underground DJs. It's a low slung affair, complete with a frenzy of filters and beats to move your feet. 

On the flip, McFerrin's cover of the Lennon & McCartney favourite, From Me To You, is completely re-imagined by young Bopperson, giving it a foot friendly percussive shakedown, whilst adding some serious, face melting bass.

SoulBrigada take the original, toughen up the bottom end, add in kicks, claps and percussion and the odd filter, speed things up a tad and lengthen the track by a couple of minutes getting the most out of Mable John's effortless and gargantuan diva-esque vocal delivery...

On the flip we have another soulful treat with a killer rare groove cut from 1971.
