Harry Carpenter - Drummer (aged 19)

Being able to immerse myself in music with like-minded people has given me wide musical knowledge. I have loved both creating and performing music. 
I currently study at Strode college. I am a member of the college Jazz Band, the Ensemble and have recorded with the A Level students. Recently other students on my music course and I have formed 'Karma Llama' (Ska/Funk band). They released their first single 'Possibilities' in February 2015. They gigged many times at The Red Brick Building in Glastonbury, performing at the final weekend of Oxjam  2014, Thursday night aftershow party, Rock for Red Nose day etc. They recently were one of three of the headline bands at Strode Live Presents: The Theatre gig in April 2015 with 'Fast Decline' and 'Unique Faith'.
Outside of college I have played at many local summer festivals, with the highlights being performances with “Mr. Keep Calm and the Cancelled Cheques” at Glastonbury Festival and Godney Gathering. I have also been a member of local bands 'My Story' and 'The Shards'. It has also been an immense privilege to have jammed with musicians Jack Bessant and Gary Stringer from 'StringerBessant' and 'Reef'.
Presently I am involved with 'Missart' who have had their single “Blue Daisies” played on BBC Radio and have recently recorded an online T.V. performance showcasing South-West talent.
My weekends are full performing with an amazing Rock Band 'Livewired' to packed venues which is great fun. 

Mr Keep Calm

From the South West UK, a musical observer of life through unique eyes.

Centered around the songs of front man Gary, working in partnership with long time collaborator James, the act have seen many changes and iterations but always retain that core of accessible art.

There is a willingness to connect without compromise, to adapt any influence in the pursuit of sonic adventures.

There are unifying themes, styles and elements across all the work, but with a shifting of genres and a willingness to experiment. This is not bland territory, this is surprise in aural form. 

With many gig experiences to draw on (including The Fleece, The Eden Project and Glastonbury Festival), radio and press coverage (including BBC Introducing in the West and airplay in Canada, America and even Vietnam), and recordings that traverse genres and styles (including the full band debut album “Digest”), there is experience and a proven popularity.
