Nabta's (@nabta) debut EP contributes to a new face of Crowhunt Records (@crowhuntrecords). inspired by EBM, 80's and punk, they offer two punchy tracks for this release : Dance and Fight and Constant Journey.

To match perfectly with their universe, Sierra on the first remix of Dance & Fight reveal the industrial mind of the original track, play with the tempo behind precise beats surrounded by huge synth bass.

On the second remix, the master Inhalt revisited Constant Journey with his midnight rework version recorded at Infinite Studio : a perfect italo bass gimmick, embellished by the original voice and pure analog synths to conclude with melodic synth.

Sindy is a DJ from Naarm/Melbourne who deals in feel-good, high-energy dance music. After a stint in Portugal, she returned home around the start of 2020 to set up the online radio station Area 3000. Releasing numerous DJ mixes a week, the station focus on highlighting exciting international and local talent. 

Sindy is an accomplished DJ herself and a familiar name on lineups across local clubs. Her DJ mixes have featured on local brands Frock Up to House of Friends, just to name a few. For this selection, Sindy takes inspiration from the full range of dance music, shifting from house to breaks to trance and more.

Ten years ago Eddie honed his craft with a residency at Geelong’s most infamous Pub, The Nash where his 5-hour sets took punters on a journey. Since then he’s been throwing parties such as Mutant Dance, Tilt Shift and Sonic Therapy while holding down guest spots/residencies at Revolver Upstairs, Lucky Coq, Captain, Geelong Hotel, Xe54, New Guernica, Boney, The Gaso, Lounge and much more. His sound is inspired by Ron Hardy infused with Optimo and his deejay sets are just as unpredictable.

Darlyn Vlys is a name many might not know, but you definitely would’ve heard his music. Releasing on labels from Get Physical to Sincopat to name a few, the producer’s tight productions have received airtime courtesy of a wide range of DJs from Maceo Plex to Curses to Öona Dahl. His most recent Kronos EP, a collaboration with fellow Frenchman Damon Jee on Correspondant Records, is a dance floor tool of epic proportions designed to ignite, and unite, in equal measure.

Novelcast 44: Darlyn Vlys

Local DJ /producer Marli injects her original productions and DJ sets with the halcyon sounds of Detroit techno and Chicago house. With a history of formal music training, her original works have laid the foundation for her selector credentials and frequent performances at local hotspots Dr Morse, Xe54, Section 8, and Revolver Upstairs. On top of that, Marli has warmed up the decks for internationals and locals including Detroit Swindle, Harvey Sutherland, Ben Pearce, Big Miz, Sally C and Whiskey Houston. At the recent Pitch Music & Arts, she warmed up stage 3 on the Sunday for Germany's Ben Rau. She held down the fort with a dense set of underground house that was fun as it was uncompromising. Novelcast 47: Marli (Recorded live @ Pitch Music & Arts 2020)

Funboys is a Norwegian-Australian-Belgian music collaboration, born from a mutual penchant for late nights, stiff drinks, bad dance-moves, techno and punk. Nine years ago, the Funboys lads started meeting up in a Gold Coast studio on Friday afternoons with the aim of finishing a baker’s dozen beers as well as an edit that Audun could play out the very same night in the club.

After overcoming their cultural differences and associated language barriers the natural progression from these humble and beer-battered beginnings was to venture into writing original Funboys material; house and techno, often rooted in a punk attitude.

Funboys has released a variety of music on Tronik Youth’s UK label NEIN Records, Golden Bug’s French label La Belle Records, and Australian labels Unknown Records, Here To Hell, Sweat It Out, Club Sweat, and Future Classic.
