We have hit the heady height of number 34, and we are mega delighted to welcome a legend Down The Stairs; @nightsheenrecords label boss, co-founder of @lovechildldn, collaborative vocalist with @hannah-holland , @paranoid-london and @posthuman - and general talented boss, Josh Caffé! (@josh-caffe)

Josh is a DJ, producer, vocalist and all round entertainer that we have admired for a while here at 2Sox; bringing a raw energy to whatever he is involved with. Whether it's one of the plethora of high octane DJ mixes, or releases such as the recent collaborative drop with @honeydijon, his own 'Adventures of Mr Freak' on Gigalo or 2017's classic with Hannah Holland on @crosstownrebels , Josh's acidic Chicago inspired vibe is one to get a dancefloor shuddering. 

So, whilst we dearly wish that this mix could soundtrack a low roofed, sweat box of a club, we hope you'll enjoy getting it on the home speakers or headphones and bustin' out a move or two; even just with your toes and knees.

Sindy is a DJ from Naarm/Melbourne who deals in feel-good, high-energy dance music. After a stint in Portugal, she returned home around the start of 2020 to set up the online radio station Area 3000. Releasing numerous DJ mixes a week, the station focus on highlighting exciting international and local talent. 

Sindy is an accomplished DJ herself and a familiar name on lineups across local clubs. Her DJ mixes have featured on local brands Frock Up to House of Friends, just to name a few. For this selection, Sindy takes inspiration from the full range of dance music, shifting from house to breaks to trance and more.

Marie Malarie - Rave Mentality Mix for Little Gay Brother (Ep9)

Breaking our brief mix series sabbatical is honcho of Abandon Silence and selector extraordinaire, Andrew Hill aka. Hillas

Saying things have been 'strange' of late for DJ's and those in events is more than an understatement, but for those involved in both, it's safe to say it has been a complete uprooting of normality. Andrew - self-admittedly - has spent the last 12 months on the sofa, "doing online courses and home workouts waiting for the better days to come", but since the exit strategy has been announced, has been all hands on deck and busier than ever. 

Tentatively looking forward, Andrew has a few things to look forward to, with the next release on Abandon Silence Records by Liverpool lads Matrefakt out in the coming months and, "fingers crossed", a return to the dancefloor at their festival Baltic Weekender and some nice intimate Abandon Silence parties in Liverpool and London. 

Andrew on the mix:

"The mix itself was tricky to approach as I have hardly looked at a set of decks or listened to much new music in the last 12 months (I hope you can't hear that) so musically it's full across the board, from ambient to Daft Punk with some chuggers, bit of italo, ravey breaks and loads more along the way. Please enjoy!"

His mixes invariably take the audience through a progression of emotions along tangible storylines. Recently, he also used the difficult lockdown period to start up the Tangle Agency, a booking firm looking after acts like Francis Inferno Orchestra and Donald's House.
