Kasia Malenda is one of the most promising Polish female reggae artists of our time. She has graduated music high school in saxophone class. Her parents are professional musicians and as long as she remember, they were "feeding" her with jazz and "black music". From the beginning she was fascinated by many, but she took the most from Erykah Badu, Beady Belle, Jill Scott,Earth, Moloko, Frank Sinatra, Lauryn Hill, Wind& Fire, or Incognito. Those fascinations and music education, have shaped her taste and sensivity. 
Kasia looks for a new inspirations and music experiences for a whole time. She thinks that in extreme projects you can learn most. Her mark is her sensual and delicate voice, with which she moves people's hearts. Music can be seen in her every move, on stage she's very self-confident and professional. Comprehensive talented, for all the time she develop her skills. Private she's volcano of positive energy, which she's giving to other people.


Dreadsquad – producer/DJ duo created in Lodz in 2001 and consisting of Marek Bogdanski (Selecta MMF: DJ, producer, graphic designer, promoter) and Lukasz Rodziewicz (DJ Funksion). In 2003 and 2004 they won the Polish Sound Clash.

They have worked with many European and Jamaican reggae artists (e.g. Ward 21, Tenor Fly, Top Cat, General Levy, U Brown, Milion Stylez, Lady Chann, Tipa Irie, Jah Mason, Perfect, Dr Ring Ding)
Dreadsquad’s tunes and gigs are the fusion of reggae, dancehall, ska, rocksteady and hip-hop. The duo freely mixes genres, plays with sounds and bases their music on deep bass and broken rhythm. They often combine Jamaican music with modern sounds of Breakbeat, Jungle, Dubstep and Garage.
According to the musicians themselves, their music – being energetic and lively – is made for dancing and having fun. And they are right. Go to one of their gigs and you will surely hit the dance floor. Music is their passion, hobby, way of life and it shows.

Lithuanian project Spanxti may be called a professional of post industrial scene, nevertheless that Dheghom is their first album. The new ambient/martial record is full of maturity and has a highly elaborated structure, dedicated to recall the atmosphere and gravity of ancient rituals. Every single track represents a separate ritual which is extremely authentic in the way it simulates rituals performed by ancestors in the past. They were created by the Indo-European tribes in Indo-European languages, i.e. ancient Iranian, Old Prussian, Old High German, Old Greek, Hittite and Gothic. It was strived to restore the authenticity of rituals by using the original actually witnessed scripts of ritual/mythological content, created in the ancient Indo-European languages above. All scripts are authentic, written down hundreds or thousands of years ago, and clearly represent the outlook of the ancient world. The title of the album is the reconstructed word of the Proto-Indo-European, which means “the earth”. The whole album is an integral ritual, consisting of a few smaller ones, and a certain attempt to experience the archaic spirit in authentic way.

The album is released in 200 copies in four different package design versions. This is an absolute ambience of sound through the deep autumn.

There have been a lot of whispers and rumours about Thom Yorke's Atoms for Peace project since the band formed in 2009 to play The Eraser live. In the new issue of Dazed & Confused, the fabled frontman clears up the speculation surrounding Amok, his first group album outside of Radiohead, with one of his most in-depth interviews to date. He also talks frankly about his life and work, discussing his uneasy relationship with fame, that video for "Lotus Flower" and why he's still intent on bending people's heads of out shape. 

Also, stay tuned to Dazed Digital over the next fortnight, as we'll be enrolling 14 of today's most innovative producers, including Actress, Machinedrum, Flying Lotus and Arca, into "The University of Yorke". They'll be asking Thom a series of burning questions, plus much, much more.
