Balkan Blast

Taken from 'Real World 25' a 48-track compilation and celebration of Peter Gabriel's Real World Records, on their 25th Anniversary. 

Ayub Ogada is considered one of the greatest Kenyan musicians of all time and 'Kothbiro' is his contribution to the compilation. Taken from his 1993 album 'En Mana Kuoyo', is disarmingly simple - just Ogada and and the nyati, an East African lyre.

The first single from Mr Tea and the Minions’ mutinous new album is Pandemonium! Irreverently combining folk, ska, rock and gypsy jazz, it's been a highlight of their live set since summer 2018, and has had many a festival bouncing in a frenzy! The spectacularly ridiculous video coincides with the October 2019 release of their second album, ‘Mutiny’, with the band channelling OTT glam metal rockers, self-absorbed 90's pop stars, blingy rappers and uncharacteristically undemonstrative classical musicians – in other words, everything but their usual bouncy selves.
