Minyen Hsieh is a highly regarded, award-winning Taiwanese saxophonist. The Taipei native, born in 1981, started to perform professionally at the age of 19, and received his Master degree from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels on 2010. His strong improvisation skills and rich tone has made him a coveted player in several genres varying from: jazz, rock, folk, hip-hop, electronic to avant-garde. He won the Taichung Saxophone Competition in 2012, 2 times Golden Melody Awards (Grammy Awards in Chinese speaking world) and 7 times Golden Indie Music Award with His solo& co-leading albums. Besides Taiwan, he also tour frequently in Japan, Hong Kong, South-East Asia and west Europe.

別因他的謙虛風度而輕忽他，謝明諺是今日台灣音樂界最勇敢的人物之一。布魯塞爾皇家音樂院爵士薩克斯風演奏碩士、碩士後文憑。在2011年的夏天回到台灣後得到了2012台中國際薩克斯風大賽冠軍。自2014年發行個人首張專輯《Firry Path》以來，他著眼於繼續發掘及探索新的領域，在不同的風格之間跳躍，如變色龍般的能力在他參與的每個組合都能準確找到合適的聲音實在是令人驚嘆。參與過的十餘張爵士專輯並共獲得了兩座金曲獎、七座金音獎的肯定。在獨立、實驗、影視和流行樂壇也跨刀合作了超過百首的作品。眾多跨界邀演中也包括了2017年台北世大運閉幕式的熄聖火樂：《薪傳》。 

    2024的世界從疫情中明顯復甦，各種國際的交流演出合作也旺盛回歸！明諺參與了以下有趣的演出：  - 寺尾紗繐(JP)首度台灣演出＆專輯發表@東京 Suntory Hall Blue Rose廳

謝明諺は、１９８１年台北生まれ。
１９歳で自身のバンドを作りプロとしての活動を始めました。
小さい時から音楽が大好きだった謝さんは、高校生の時からサックスを始め、すぐにジャズに恋をしてしまったそうです。
謝さんにとってジャズとは、自由を表現する完璧な方法であり、自分自身に
リアルであるためのものと言えるのだそうです。
謝明諺は、台湾の色々なジャズのライヴハウスなどで活動後、ベルギーにある
ブリュッセル王立音楽院で修士号をとります。
そして、２０１２年に台中で行われたサックスのコンクールで優勝したことをきかっけに、台湾のジャズ‧シーンの重要な人物へとなってゆきます。
台湾の音楽賞での受賞は数多くあり、　台湾をベースに活動している日本人のバンド‧東京中央線とコラボレイションしたアルバム「Lines&Stains」では、GMA金曲賞で２０１９年のベスト‧インストルメンタルアルバム賞を受賞。
エレクトリック‧エクスペリメンタル‧グループである非／密閉空間では、２０２０年のGMA金曲奨のベスト‧インストルメンタルアルバム‧プロデューサー賞を受賞しています。

代表的な作品に、『Firry Path』（2014年）、『上善若水 As Good As Water』（2018年）、『爵士詩靈魂夜 A Soulful Night of Jazz Poetry』（2022年）。

最新作『Our Waning Love』(2023年)は2024年GIMA金音創作獎の最佳爵士歌曲獎を受賞！
