Son of Ugly are a five piece instrumental band based in Brighton, whose unique style of cinematic weirdcore dashes through so many genres that it’s tricky to trap them in a specific category. Within their repertoire lurk elements of 60’s and 70’s cartoons, spy action, noir jazz, surf and world music, sometimes in the same song.

Ethereal UK aka Waritsara 'Yui Karlberg, is an award winning singer/songwriter/producer/videographer/visual artist. The name Ethereal conveys her music: unpredictable, other worldly, as if from the astral plane.
Her mesmerising live performances showcase her haunting head voice, with an originality and boundary pushing which mark her as a unique talent far ahead of her time...                                                    Counting influences as diverse as Bon Iver (Justin Vernon), Kate Bush, Sadé, Portishead, Björk and others, she has released several albums and was briefly signed to a small NYC label..
A collaboration with film maker friend  Charlie Mounsey (aka Unwelcome Human) led to her most successful music video yet, for her song ‘Strange World, Normal Girl’ which was to premiere at London Music Video Festival but sadly, the pandemic happened.
Her current single ‘The Ghost of Love’ is currently in works for a music video in collaboration with a London theatre company.
Recently, she won a local original music award, which will be but the first of many in what is sure to be a stellar career.  Truly a self made musical artist, she has taught herself how to make the most of her autism and other struggles using her creative skills, as well as enjoying life as a travelling musician.
