Indie Music Plus (IMP) was founded in August, 2015, with the mission to become the “Home of the Indie Musician”. Our aim is to provide the best services and creative solutions for Indie Artists worldwide. We highlight artists through our weekly FB Live Broadcast, YouTube videos, Roundtables, iTunes, Soundcloud, and blog reviews. In addition, we circulate all of our media content through our multi-faceted Social Media channels where our following has grown to over 200,000 Indie Music fans to date.

I havent posted a track in a million years, but am actively still producing privately.  As a dubstep producer, I tend to aim for tracks that are somewhere between hard and gritty.  What I usually end up with, however, is something between gritty and chilled out.  Dubstep is not for everyone, and my personal flavor of dubstep is for even fewer people.    Music is not my career, but rather, a passionate hobby.  I know I will never be famous, and I do not care.  I do this for me.  I am my own biggest fan, and my own worst critic.  I have been making hip-hop beats casually for over a decade.  Then i  discovered Dubstep, and it was love at first listen.

I always have a bassline or a melody running through my head, and I make tracks as an outlet for that constant stream.  I also produce because the process moves me.  When I am producing, I am in another world.  Each track is born out of a particular mood or feeling, and when I listen to the tracks months or years later, I am drawn right back into the mood of that time, for better or worse.  I began putting my music online because I figured if I can move myself with my music, then perhaps it can also move somebody else.  I am thrilled to see so many people enjoying my music.

My current setup revolves around Ableton Live.   I use a Beringer 49-key keyboard and an Akai MPK Mini pad-keyboard.  I also own a Novation Launchpad (which admittedly gets little use.  Most drums are done on a Mashine Mk2. To create my basslines and synths,I mostly use NI Massive + Kontakt.    I have no formal training, and learned all I know by experimentation and online tutorial.

JoeJoeKeys

is a professional musician who has been active in the industry for over 15 years. He has appeared on numerous albums, and has extensive experience writing music in addition to recording and performing.

Joe has toured every region of the United States, being a featured member of multiple bands. Notably, Joe toured as a member of LP Outsiders (LPO), a prominent band signed with Windswept Pacific, the publishing company responsible for such acts as Duncan Sheik and Spice Girls. LPO received a special feature on the Disney Channel show “Two Hour Tour,” in which they opened for 98Degrees. Adding to their media prominence, LPO’s song “Lint in my Pockets” appeared on the soundtrack release for “Three to Tango,” a wide-release film starring Neve Campbell & Matthew Perry.

In addition to 98Degrees, Joe has shared the stage with a multitude of major acts, including Joan Jett, P.O.D., The Roots, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Vitamin C, & Culture Club.

Joe has many passions in the field, including musical production, engineering, and social media promotion for artists. He loves to write and perform original music, with his first full-length album as "JoeJoeKeys" released back in September, 2014.

Joe currently teaches piano at Western NY’s largest privately-owned music school. Presently, he devotes much of his focus to Indie Music Plus, a digital music service dedicated to helping indie musicians gain exposure through social media promotion & digital marketing.
