@ombrar1 is a French and British young producer formed as a Sound engineer. He is driven by sound even more than music itself which has shaped a lot the way he produces music. Always on the move, his style became harder over the years, continuing his path towards a more violent and rough sound.
Passionate by all the different sound techniques and tools, whether it’s with analog gears or digital ones he keeps experimenting all the time, and his interest for Field recordings, gives to his music a certain texture that is easily identified. Ombrar had the opportunity to play in several clubs with the Ultracks Records agency.
His ever increasing experience in the Sound domain has enabled him to work on different projects such as Cinema, Radio and even Audio Books. He also spends a lot of time working on his label Black Silhouette with his brother.
Deeply inspired by the eeriness and unknown of this world, he is always searching for atmospheres that will define his path.

Following the release of Sunroof (Daniel Miller and Gareth Jones)'s Electronic Music Improvisations Vol. 1 on Mute, Gareth Jones delivers an exclusive Bleep mix. At the core of the mix lies the multitudinous ideas and innovations of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s 1956 opus ‘Gesang Der Jünglinge’. Widely regarded as the first electroacoustic piece ever composed, the mass (in a literal sense) of electronic tones and ecstatic vocalisations, chopped and chunked across this mix, bleed in and around the crevices of other compositions by the 20th century’s foremost synthesists. You’ve got a healthy dose of Tangerine Dream kosmische here, as well as curious intergalactic signals beamed down by Susanne Ciani and Gareth Jones’ own Electrogenetic project, as well as a precious trove of Sunroof unreleased productions. 


"I re-discovered ‘Gesang der Jünglinge’ about 10 years ago, & it’s central to my mix. Once I had the idea of dividing it in to chunks everything dropped together. Adding drones from my ‘Spiritual Friendship’ project got me where I needed to be. I’m not a DJ - I assembled the mix in Ableton, always recording the tracks in real time, rather like making cassettes in the 70s."

LABURNŪM starts its EP series with what seems to be in the continuity of French producer OMBRAR’s path toward experimentation combined with a rough and hard-driving techno sound. You may find noisy guitar sounds recorded for each track, a broken piano, the relentless presence of field recordings of all sorts and some sharp modular sounds as well. On the flip side, London producers Burden and Cathédral served two powerful remixes, both club-oriented and as granular as the originals. It looks like this EP will have many layers to discover and rediscover to explore the eeriness of this world.

Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast. as we move onto Episode 270 in the podcast series we'd like to say thank you to our loyal followers around the world who still tune into our show after 10 years of broadcasting. It's been a testing time for all but music has helped us through to the other side.

We are joined by Tblisi based artist 3AM as she treats us to a more minimal Techno vibe, dark and menacing sounds.

3AM (a.k.a. Ana Marjanidze) started as a result of expressing a hidden personality which canour communicate only through music and be open when mixing deep, energetic sounds. 

3AM is proof of an idea, that no matter what you do in your life, what profession you may have, you are still capable to be artistic, creative and dare to touch music in most intimate way.

Inspired by various foreign and Georgian artists, 3AM is trying to make connection with the people, giving them emotions and feelings from the very soul of her own.

Lady Tazz launches Mind Medizin with collaborative EP alongside Gotshell. Curated by Canadian Bangladeshi producer Lady Tazz, new project Mind Medizin will meld music, art, and fashion, illuminating techno’s hypnotic and ethereal side. ‘Serpent Kiss’ is the imprint’s first release and a collaboration between label boss and Colombian techno ambassador Gotshell, whose previous work includes releases on BPitch Control and KMS Records. With both artists both known for their classic take on the genre, this first EP serves up a melting pot of influences spanning the experimental and shadowy side of techno - also available as a special series of 10” records. Title track ‘Serpent Kiss’ is a journey down the rabbit hole boasting full-bodied, industrial bass as ominous pads feature throughout. Samples of tripped-out glitches and bleeps add to this hard-hitting track’s chaotic element The trip continues with second production, ‘Dominatrixx’. Alarming loops and aggressive machine-like kicks build throughout as eerie female vocals offer a dreamlike quality to the production. The combination of elements makes for an otherworldly track, showcasing a fine example of both producers styles. Lady Tazz & Gotshell ‘Serpent Kiss’ EP drops via Mind Medizin on 26th November 2021.
