The track feels like it’s built out of pieces of the past—old 8-bit sounds that were more about ingenuity than perfection. Working with those constraints, using square waves and simple drum loops, trying to get something out of such raw, limited tools.As usual, restrictions can lead to more creativity. It’s like stitching together a memory.  I broke out the SID Station and the trusty S-612 for some Lo Rez mayhem.

All material - cut, altered, mixed at will - comes from a nocturnal solo improvisation with fretless acoustic bass guitar with piezo pickup, effect pedals (Carcosa - Dark Star - Obscura), non synchronized loops, three amps. I'm primarily a visual artist both 2D and 3D, for the last decade I've operated almost exclusively in the digital 3D realm.   since the late 80s I've made periodic forays into the sonic world, MIDI sequencing, minimalism, musique concrète, found sounds  and improvisation. I am seldom happy with anything and seldom consider a piece finished.
