The post midnight sequenced element came from a virtual modular patch created with VCV Rack.

Sparrows, sparrows, sparrows tumbled down.
Parents and chicks all fell.
None of the passersby on the road looked at them.

All material - cut, altered, mixed at will - comes from a nocturnal solo improvisation with fretless acoustic bass guitar with piezo pickup, effect pedals (Carcosa - Dark Star - Obscura), non synchronized loops, three amps. Recorded in the room with Zoom H2n, edited in Audacity. All sounds made with the instrument. All sounds, mixing and production: Velvet Something Superdark.

I'm primarily a visual artist both 2D and 3D, for the last decade I've operated almost exclusively in the digital 3D realm.   since the late 80s I've made periodic forays into the sonic world, MIDI sequencing, minimalism, musique concrète, found sounds  and improvisation. I am seldom happy with anything and seldom consider a piece finished.

Naviar is a music community and label. Through regular publications, open projects and events, we explore the connection between experimental music and traditional Japanese poetry.
