Dance music struck a chord deep within Alan Reid (Mr Ride) when he stumbled upon the classic Chicane track ‘Sunstroke’ at  N.Ireland’s infamous Kelly’s Lush complex. Inquisitive and curious he began to explore dance music on a whole new level, engaging every new musical experience like a nervous virgin on prom night!

Somewhat a latecomer to the dance scene he found the deep, melodic,  Balearic trance irresistible, yet  began to develop a deep appreciation for the soulful percussive sounds of house music and those in particular of Fatboy Slim the first live DJ experience to leave him spellbound!

Moving to Scotland opened his eyes to a vibrant, underground techno scene, nothing like he had experienced before and as the tech house genre evolved Mr Ride was born!  His music blends many styles, yet always remaining melodic with bounds of endless energy. Influences swell from all genres, with Fatboy Slim, Underworld, Soulwax, Fergie, Eric Prydz (Cirez D & Pryda),Fergie,  Mark Knight, Funkagenda, Above & Beyond and the mighty Dubfire but to name a few.

A regular on the Glasgow club scene, Mr Ride is now a resident DJ broadcasting globally on the airwaves of RealcityRadio.com, and as we now move into 2012 all who listen can be sure to be taken on one hell of a ride…
