We are a small Blues, Funk and Rock band that's been brought up and formed in Woking. We draw our influences from the likes of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Frank Zappa and aim to put on a show wherever we go.

"This record tells about one of many places I have visited last several years, peregrinating around Polissya  in search for old singers, to listen to their music, to live with them for a short while, to be able to understand the world in which these songs were conceived.
What Ksawery and I are involved in, is not ethnography anymore, but rather a search for our own interpretation, creating our own universe. First, we learn the song together, listening intently to different variants, timbres, tones, moods. Then we process the musical material applying our sensitivity and imaginaton. Ksawery is an intuitionist, he develops the vocal motifs by means of improvisation." - Maniucha Bikont

Polish roots dance music. From Mazowsze i Kieleckie to Yorkshire. Mazurka Heartbeat brings ancient, wild melodies and primeval rhythms of mazurkas from the remotest corners of the Polish countryside.  It is played in traditional, “in crudo” way. It’s a part of traditional culture revival movement which took place in Poland in the recent 20 years.
